Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

Yes this is quite disappointing! From what I can tell there are more than 100 notifications, but at least it not from 2/28/17. Next we need to delete exercise data. My Fitbit has everything fro the day I set up the Fitbit in April 2017

Very good idea! That way I don't have notifications back past one day.

No and they won't, at least my notifications are now back only to 8/7 not 2/27.
I've stopped emailing them and getting frustrating and use replies fro "the Fitbit team"

I still have notifications from Feb thru April telling me that I've almost reached my step goal for the day or congratulating me because I reached it.  Don't need that old news anymore!  Turned off notifications so no longer get them.  But why would you need or want to keep this type of notification for the past 100 days!  You can check how often you met your goals when you sign on to the web site.  Why keep this info on your phone?

I turned off notifications and I still get them. I don't need them and I don't want them and the company says now they will save 100, well I get 4-5/ day from today back to 8/7 and that's more than 100.
Don't know what's saved on the computer I only use the phone and iPad.

Got the same email but when I checked I had notifications back to 8/7 which is better than 2/27 but not enough for a whoopie.

They are not customer friendly at all.

That is quite true! Contacting them is a waste of time, energy and is very frustrating.

Who wants nonsense comments from one day ago, let alone from March?

They are cute at the moment and we got them just fine on the tracker and the phone where we could delete after reading!

Now, I have close to a hundred garbage messages that can't be deleted.

This shows me, along with the horrible software "glitches" (updates) that have messed up syncing, needing to constantly log in, crashing, etc. in both the last 2 updates, that Fitbit knows not what to do.

Why are you making things worse every time? Do you think this will sell your "smartwatch"?

I won't be buying and if things don't straighten up soon, I fear I will have to leave fitbit behind.

Why don't you put the smart Pebble engineers on the software? Or did you just fire them when you bought their company?

Well said and I agree.

Please get rid of these notifications or provide a settings option to turn them off. I have no interest in the notifications.

Turning off notifications from the iPhone settings does not prevent Fitbit from posting in-app notifications--which are the ones that have been accumulating in my iPhone since February of this year.  I have even posted about this issue both on Facebook and in the App Store in the Review section of the Fitbit app.  All I ever receive from Fitbit is the usual "we're working on new features..."  but nothing concrete that the fix is happening with the next updates.  I'm saving up for an Apple watch.

I don't want to stop all the in-app notifications from coming, because some are useful. But. They should make it so we can delete them, like pretty much every other app available! What's the use for having months worth of notifications that can't be deleted? Some people don't have a lot of space available on their phone for all of those.

You can sellect the one you want.  go to your dashboard , log into fitbit.com first.

My issue is with messages. There is no option to delete them. I have messages that are more than a year old, and I cannot delete them in The iOS app or on windows.

I want to clear them from my phone too. I am turning notification for the Fitbit app off so I won’t get them. They just clutter up the app and are probably using storage on my iPhone.

please fix this.
