Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

If one does this on web browser only the notifications you don’t want stop. It didn’t work on the app.

I guess if Apple new of this flaw, they would not allow it on the app Site?

come on Fitbit, Time is running out.

I love the Fitbit, scales and the app, made such a difference to my life already but this one flaw which mearly adding a swipe to delete to your notifications is really bad.

For some reason I get e-mails from

all the Fitbit users who want to delete the notifications! I have sent several e-mails asking for this action but never got one reply! Fitbit simply does not care what their customers want! I quit and bought an Apple Watch! Thanks Fitbit for NOTHING!!!

Agreed. Unfortunately Fitbit is not listening. Still have the Same Old notifications since I mentioned almost ONE YEAR AGO.

I thought the problem is fixed. All my notifications are gone. I do not get anymore notifications. I did ask them not to send me any notifications ever. But all the old notifications I received before, they’re gone.

Daily notifications not always required - ability to turn off notifications required and

delete the hundreds logged

Well count your blessings - all I can count are the tons of old notifications still on my phone! I did manage to shut off any new ones, none since 12/5/17, but the oldies still hang in there!

Now how did that happen? Mine were not removed! I don’t get any more so they don’t build up. Guess Fitbit is only selectively removing the useless notifications from apps.

Preaching to the choir! Guess we’ll have to wait until Fitbit deems it necessary to remove them from your app and others. I’ve received emails from others saying ALL their old notifications are gone, but not ours! Why!

Lucky you. Hope they are starting to do for others soon. Thanks

If the developers follow these posts, they would see that many people are asking the same question. The developers would also know that this question has been raised for several years and still has been addressed. This is one of the few negatives of my Fitbit.

That just sucks rocks, they deleted from 2/27-8/7 and I can’t get rid of 8/7-11/11 when I turned off all notifications 😡

Yeah. They don’t take care of their loyal customers. 😔

They would be crazy to have a forum that their own company wouldn’t monitor. 🤔. Maybe

There are several threads with users complaining about the in-app notifications and I am one of them.  To me, they are absolutely useless.  We want to be able to delete them (with or without reading them).  I know each message is small, but it is still data clogging up my phone.

Now if the notifications and messages are kept on the server and are not on my phone, that only makes it a little better.  I am not the only one who wants to make these go away.  They are either clogging up my phone or clogging up your servers.

Couldn’t agree more. This might be the catalyst to ditch the Fitbit and use something which doesn’t clog up memory on IPhone
