Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

I have a Charge 2 and love it—BUT! I wish to add my voice to those who are asking for a way to remove old notifications from the dashboard. While I love seeing the "Nailed It!" notice on the day I've successfully met my goal, there is no gratification in being able to re-read every "Nailed it" or "Almost there" that I've ever received. Please, please offer the option of having notifications self-purge after a certain passage of time, or add the ability to instantly delete. Thanks!

BA,
I believe we've been trying since they 1st appeared 2/27/18 and no luck at all.
You can turn them off via your account on Fitbit.com.

Please make it possible to delete messages and notifications. They pile up and clog up my phone. It seems like such a basic function of most other apps. Please fix it!!

I agree but this has been going on since I bought my Fitbit in April 2016. I think they revel in our complaints.

You mean you only wait 30 days? I turned mine off in November and they are still there.

Agreed. I have been using Fitbits since 2014. When this one goes I am done :white_heavy_check_mark:

Absolutely fed up with the notifications. Turned them off via website but the hundreds from last year are still there. How dumb are these administrators- it will be the undoing of Fitbit!!!!!

Hard to believe that Fitbit is so arrogant that it will not address the issue of deleting notifications!! Let’s see how Apple treats their customers when I buy an Apple Watch and throw away my Fitbit products!

I wonder how Fitbit could allow us to delete notifications (which I found while going through suggestions can or could be done on the Blaze), when they can not even get the Fitbit to sync when the time changes from daylight savings to daylight standard time and visa versa. This has been going on since the 1st one I experienced in November 2016 and happened today.  This will correct itself by tomorrow, but it really screws up data today.  The sleep monitor had me wakening at 9:29AM and my clock had 8:29AM.

It should be easy enough to "swipe left" on a message to delete it.  I don't want to keep the last 30 days of "You're almost to your daily step goal" and "Nailed it!"  I should be able to delete a single message or all messages at will, as is the case with nearly every other iOS application.

Logging out of the app and logging back in didn't remove any of my old notifications. I have them from October 2017.

I agree and I've been trying to do so since they 1st started 2/27/17!
You can stop notifications by clicking on gear on web site and scroll to notifications and you can pick and choose what you receive.

We just have to wait for the bigwigs at Fitbit to listen.

I have notifications going back over a year on my Fitbit app, just clogging up the storage on my phone. The app needs a feature for users to be able to delete notifications any time we want to. Apparently they are supposed to disappear after 30 days,  but they absolutely do not.  I never refer back to them. They are useless storage-wasters. It’s a huge annoyance to have to delete stuff I want because Fitbit is hogging up storage.

Tell me about it. But you can stop them from coming to you. Log into your account on web. Go to the gear on the top right hand corner and open this, scroll down to notifications and then decide what you want. This won't delete notifications but at least you won't get more. I stopped them 11/11/17 but I still have from 8/7/17 -11/11/17 clogging up my phone. Good luck.
