Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

I totally agree about the app not being anywhere as good as the desktop app.  I have used the desktop app for years and now find so many things missing, and yes, although I am not visually impaired it is difficult to see everything.  There is no way to figure out the times of anything when there are just "dots" for sleep times, getting up, etc.  The bar graph shows 0, 650. and 13k for steps?  Not acceptable!  In fact the whole app is not acceptable.  Please put the desktop app back!

Google/Fitbit absolutely does not care about customers, only profit and collecting your data to sell. Dropping browser support is a cynical and heartless way to cut costs. The phone app really REALLY sucks for my purposes but I am pretty sure they won't revive the browser interface. They simply don't care about us.

Yup, I'm  back to writing my stats down on my desktop calendar. I just don't get Google sometimes.

I’ve been a good customer as long as you have and feel the same.

What is particularly galling is that the moderator posts:

...thanks for taking the time to share this product feedback about maintaining the Fitbit web dashboard going forward with us. We rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see. If this product feedback receives votes from other customers and gains popularity, it will be shared internally with various teams at Fitbit.

If if gains popularity they'll share it with various teams. Why, so they can laugh at our problems? This is like something a politician says to defer uncomfortable questions: "I promise to look into it."

Be honest, @LizzyFitbit, what are the chances the browser dashboard will be restored?

I adjust my sleep record in the web app to reflect reality, like a longer time to fall asleep or to extend for the actual sleep period (today woke at 5:15, fell back asleep until 8). I cannot make the adjustment in the phone app so sleep time, readiness, and overall history is wrong. Also, active min showed on web, not meaningless "zone minutes" .

Thank you, perhaps they are giving hope because they didn’t anticipate how many of their consumers would have strong feelings about this. It may be enough to make the business unprofitable. However, by then they may have lost many longtime consumers.

Without the PC app, this device is useless for me!!!!!! What a terrible way to treat your users.

As a diabetic, I use the fitbit browser to enter food and exercise data on a daily basis. The mobile app is not a good replacement. Since I can no longer easily integrate my food intake and exercise output using my fitbit, I might as well use a different tracker. Oh, and the chance that I would buy a Google watch to replace it, is zero.

I understand, I prefer the web version for really looking at the data. The app is a poor substitute. The google watches seem to have design flaws, perhaps it’s a pattern with this group.

I need the PC app!!!!!! Forcing me to switch to using an app that is inferior and only has a subset of features, is outrageous. I am disgusted after being with Fitbit since 2012, you treat your users with utter disrespect.

I agree with most of the recent comments.  Removing easy access via a browser is a huge step backwards and reduction in access/functionality, not least for elderly and visually impaired users.

Let me use the desktop dashboard!!!! I don't want to use an app. This is a total disgrace. I've been with Fitbit since 2012 and now I can't use it anymore.

Well that was a surprise.  I did not know that Google was abandoning the web interface for Fitbit.   I am a long time fitbit user and the web interface for tracking nutrition/calorie information was the principle reason I stayed with Fitbit.   I nearly bought a new Fitbit device a few weeks ago.   Well that is not going to happen now.  I am switching to Apple.   Goodbye

Part of my daily routine was to open my computer and the Fitbit dashboard was always a pre-loaded page.  I'd look at my quality of sleep from the night before.  Please bring back the website dashboard!

Arghhhhhh!!!!! Logging my food diary on a cell phone sucks. I need a carb breakdown per meal or snack--not as interested in calories. Many of us diabetics manage the condition with carb counting!

I need the web based food log--this is so frustrating! So far Google has managed to make Fitbit unhelpful for diabetics and forcing us to use a cell phone means those of us with arthritis of the hands cannot use a full sized keyboard to manage our Fitbit, the tiny keyboard on a cell phone is impossible!

Way to alienate anyone with a disability!!

We urgently need a web based interface! Oooooops--you had one until today.

It is definitely gone now. Oh well, time to vote with the checkbook.

Feel the same way. If mine was not just 1 year old I would be switching
too. I still might.

I am visually impaired and use, or used, the website daily.  If you do not bring back the website, I will be forced to get another tracker.  I've had my fitbit for almost 10 years, but I think this change is horrible.  I'll give it maybe 2 months, and if it isn't returned, bye bye fitbit.

Yes! Please bring back the dashboard. It is MUCH better than the app. It's annoying, Google comes in and buys Fitbit then a year or so later you guys bring down the best part of my Fitbit experience. This is literally the only thing keeping me hanging on to Fitbit and I'm already looking for a new device and platform because of it.

Please bring back the dashboard. It is easier to use, the layout is ten million times better, there are many features only available in the dashboard that aren't available in the app. Logging food is even better in the dashboard. This going away is steering me towards finding a new fitness tracker and platform all together.

Many people have found better options, I’m sure you will also.

It is very saddening that you would remove the desktop / browser dashboard. As a developer, I know it didn't take many resources to keep it going, you guys never even update it. I have always used the dashboard when possible and only resorted to the app when I had to on the go. The dashboard is more robust, user friendly, has more features than the app and even has a better layout. Losing the browser dashboard is enough to make me switch fitness trackers and platforms.

as a diabetic with a volatile glucose level, I've used the Versa 4 to monitor exercise and the browser dashboard to log everything I've eaten for the past 4 years to help in monitoring my blood sugar which is impossible to do in the phone app.  This is not good that the browser view is gone.  Not sure what I can do.
