Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

I, too, wish to voice my disappointment that the desktop dashboard/web interface is being phased out. It was my primary source for my fitbit data, and I find it much more useable and friendly than I do the app. I referred to it every morning to note down vital statistics (as I keep a paper log for my own purposes) and refer to past trends. In my experience, much of that information is considerably more difficult to locate in the app. I am not happy, and it appears many other people are in the same boat.

This change may be the 'nail in the coffin' for my use of Fitbit. I got hooked early on and have had many iterations of the device. Google's acquisition made me concerned, but as I use Google for much throughout my day, I tried to maintain hope that they would keep things going. I was hanging around because I liked the web interface. Without that, I may give in and move to one of the competitors I've long considered. This seems like an ideal time to try something new, as everything here seems to be on a downhill slide. Such a shame, as Fitbit has been a cornerstone for me for many years.

The PC dashboard is absolutely necessary!  Bring it back!!  There are features it offers that are not available in the app.  Fit bit is essentially worthless to me without these.

Alphabet has been consistent in their mission to terminate features and applications. There are easily a half dozen of those in Google and Android that I found valuable, used consistently, and are gone now. When they acquired Fitbit the writing was on the wall. I don't know if this is their bigger strategy against Microsoft PC and Apple Mac users to prop up their other brand Chrome or something else but you are spot on. Running this website in it's current state doesn't take any special effort. It's clearly a business decision that doesn't take into consideration the actual user experience. I am looking long and hard at the Fitness/Activity tracker that starts with the letter "G". I see a lot of trainers wearing them. There's a robust browser based UI for it.

@Husbone  - absolutely agree with you. The browser version if much friendlier than the smartphone app!

I wholeheartedly agree. The app on my phone does not have any of the tools I use--only the website does. My total overall minutes of exercise (not just the zone minutes), a comparison of exercise and caloric intake week-by-week, month-by-month, etc. Easy food tracking, meals created, less-clicking, and so forth. The app is just not user friendly. Please bring back the website or make the app more like it.

I am disappointed that the web based dashboard is no longer available. Can we please bring it back. I have had a fitbit since 2015ish, I prefer to use my computer, for example, I am using my computer now.  I was using the web based version to track food, weight, heart rate, etc. Too hard to see everything on the phone.

I agree, without a website I will stop using my Fitbit after 11 years and switch to a more user friendly device.

Good job Google for screwing up a good product!

Google sucks - they make a mess of everything they touch. They keep pushing everything to their android phone. Bring back the dashboard! The app is a typical google mess - no details. Can't track anything. Time to buy a garmin. F' google!!!

What ARE our options? I’ll happily switch.

Basically I want exactly what Fitbit just took away.

Restore the browser-based dashboard immediately.

Please bring back the dashboard! It was the only reason I used the fitbit! I can't be entering all my food and stuff on my phone screen, it's too small and that would take forever, plus I like following the screen all day on my computer.

I totally agree I'm all done with Fitbit without the online Dashboard. Does anyone know something similiar? Because I won't use Fitbit without online access.

Without the PC app, this device is useless for me!

This is unreal. What an absolutely terrible change. What are they thinking? The service is completely useless to me without the web dashboard. I'm sure a lot of others feel the same.

This is the most brainless choice Fitbit could have made. Literally your entire community is pushing back, so you better actually listen. If not, I'm just happy I haven't yet purchased a Versa 4. I've been a customer since 2015, but I'll be moving to another company unless this is resolved.

Bring back the web site interface.  The app interface is not nearly as good.

I agree with all comments criticizing the decision to do away with PC based Dashboard information.  The level of workout detail available on the phone app is insufficient.  My wife and I have been using various Fitbit products for 9 years.  I will now be shopping for other devices because of this recent decision.  It's a baffling and highly disappointing decision (from a consumer/customer viewpoint).

MyFitnessPal is actually pretty cool and syncs with the Fitbit app. It can get the fitness info from the Fitbit device and generates a dashboard that can be viewed natively on their site, mobile phones and tablets. It is add supported and for $77 a year you can get more features and remove the ads.

Overall is much easier to use than the Fitbit portal. This solves my immediate needs.

Has anyone tried myfitnesspal? https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/create/welcome

It claims that it can link with Fitbit accounts on Android or IOS and has a web browser that syncs with these accounts, so is this a dashboard and is it included in the free version or is this a paid premium feature?

It is sad that Google Fitbit customers have to resort to absurd work arounds to get a feature that has long been a Fitbit standard.

Agree with all the comments. Using the sub par phone app is several steps back from what fit bit use to be. I am another customer that will be tossing my versa if they don't restore the web dashboard and functions.

DITTO!   This is truly one of the most mismanaged business changeovers (for customers) I've ever witnessed.  I am so sorry to see the dashboard just disappear.  I thought I had done the suggested transfer but it's appearance and lack of functionality was so bad I opted to continue to use the browser version until 7/8.  PLUS, I recently purchased a new Versa 4.

My husband uses MyFitnessPal (as mentioned by JEGL) with his Garmin and it seems to give him a lot more info. Maybe being on the same platforms as him will be better for us to share info anyway.  FitBit keeps taking away the features I use. Sure hope the website is made available again.  Seems like all they want it for now is to try to upsell you on products.

Removing the computer dashboard has essentially made data unavaulable to those of us who are close-vision compromised. I cannot see my tracker at all and on my phone it's extremely difficult. Fitbit has made it impossible for those of us who are vision impaired to use their devices. The person on the chat was of no help at all. I'll be getting set up with a different company as Fitbit no longer supports those of us vision impaired.
