Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

I think you are shortsighted and missing out on a major group of people - who cannot see well enough to use a phone app.

If I can't track my food and activities etc. on my laptop - I have no use for a fit bit.  I may as well throw the watch in the garbage.

Please advise if there is any hope of the browser version coming back.

@JEGL you do know that Fitbit support comes from a third- (or perhaps fourth-) party provider, right? And that "Joseph's" name isn't really Joseph and that the reason he can't help you is that his company has no idea why Fitbit deprecated the web-based site (and may not have even known there was one)? Sure you do... it's the same company that provided "support" for the cable company you unceremoniously dumped a few years back -- and you know how worthless they were!.

The sad fact is that no user "community" anywhere has ever managed to persuade a company to return functionality after they've done away with it. Color it gone, just like everything else that's disappeared over the past couple of years -- like badges, challenges or the graph for sleep.

Interestingly, even though my profile says "Steven M. joined in 2024," the fact is that this month marks 11 years since I clipped a Fitbit Zip on my belt for the first time. Not long before they dumped the website, I noticed that my total lifetime steps had recently passed 50 million.

Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted.

I agree with all of this. It completely sucks that you can't see data on the browser. I can't even believe Fitbit would do this!

Please add my voice to the call for the return of the web browser dashboard.  Very disappointed at the unilateral nature of the implementation of this change.  It will cause me to abandon my Fitbit device.  I will also be unable to recommend the use of the Fitbit product.

Why take away the desktop, something a LOT of Fitbit users log into every day.  I have struggled with the changes Fitbit has made, the sleep graph, the races, challenges, etc., but this one I'm not sure I can deal with.

Guess I will have to get an Apple watch & say goodbye to my Fitbit.

What were you thinking? Nobody likes this. It was bad enough you made us move our accounts to Google, but now this??? You are going to lose customers...starting with me. I NEED the website. If it doesn't return shortly, I truly will be looking for another fitness tracker.

I dont know if people even read these comments or if it is just an AI.  I am so over Fit bit they just keep on getting worse.  The sleep data is useless since they changed it and now we dont even have the dashboard and the actual fitbit gives a lower HR the Higher your actual HR goes. I call my fitbit something else that rimes with fitbit but the last time I wrote it my comment was deleted.  I hope they listed to peoples complaints but I dont think they will.  I have been with Fitbit since they started and have never had a positive outcome.  I think it is time to bight the bullet and invest in another fitness tracker for Christmas.

Since downgrade the only usable data was on the dashboard online, not in the app. Since migrating it to GOOGLE it's only the useless info in the app. So Google has lost me as a Fitbit user, customer and I no longer use Google search. So thanks for nothing google, selling OUR health data but stopping it from being useful to the user. SMH.

I 100% agree with you! I have been a Fitbit user for about 7 years and the removal of the desktop dashboard is having me contemplate switching to another tracker. It speaks to the less than ideal useability of the app if we prefer the desktop dashboard! My main pet peeve is the fact that if my tracker records a walk as an elliptical workout, which sometimes happens for me, I can easily change it to Walk on the desktop. In the app, it doesn't allow you to because distance walked was not logged and it requires a number in that field. What. the. hell? I liked being able to view and search in my workout history, as well. With so much competition in the fitness tracker arena, they are really doing themselves a disservice by inconveniencing customers this way. Not happy.

Fitbit trackers are garbage, always have been. They last less than a year before needing replacement, crash constantly, etc. The website was the only reason I've stuck around as long as I have. So now that they have completely betrayed their loyal users and removed the only thing good about this whole thing, what are some good alternatives? Let's get some ideas going - it's time to move on.

I was unaware the website Fitbit dashboard was going away when I upgraded from Versa 2 to Versa 4 at end of June and this would changed my decision for sure.

I'm not visually impaired, but at 61 using the website w/ my laptop or pc was a much better user experience.

Not all of us live on our smartphones & use them for everything, but prefer using a pc.

I agree, and this is a thing that Google-Fitbit would be able to use for MARKETING purposes!  It would be a huge advancement in accessibility and inclusion, compared to some of the other health tracking companies that out out there.

Personal Trainer for Crunch Fitness and long time Fitbit and Fitbit premium supporter here.  To say the removal of the web dashboard is disappointing would be an understatement.  I am furious.  I will be screaming from social media and in person to all of my clients encouraging them to move away from what has clearly become an out of touch fitness tracking ecosystem.  For a company that initially seemed to have such a desire to improve people's lives - the removal of the web dashboard is clearly the end of an era.  Sucks that I'm gonna have to join either the whoop or apple sheep...but at least they don't take functionality away from their customers.

I also prefer to use the Desktop version of the tracking app because I can get more granular data about my steps, HR, sleep, etc... . I can add and edit foods, group meals, repeat too. Mostly, I use it because I prefer to use a computer for the amount of stuff I'm inputting rather than a phone. You don't even have an iPad sized version of the app. I can't honestly believe that the numbers of desktop users is so low that it justifies turning off your web dashboard.
Well since my Fitbit is getting pretty old, maybe I'll just upgrade to someone else's product that has a better dashboard. Downloading all my data now...

Yes with all of you about the website.

FitBit, Do not remove the dashboard from a website! That is where I edit custom foods and make custom meals. Both a huge time savers and allow me to be more accurate.

Agree with all why do this the web was the major way i logged foods and also had many meals added so when i had that meal i didnt have to search for each item individually to add it and doing this on the app totally sucks time to find something else Goodbye google and fitbit

Taking away the dashboard also means active minutes are gone.  Active minutes were superior to active zone minutes because they gave a better picture into exercise.  Often my activities would not earn any zone minutes but would usually have active minutes.  I pretty much have to run to get any zone minutes.  It is demoralizing to be told you exercised but it doesn't count for anything.  The online browser dashboard was more complete.  Saying the app has all features is patently false.  What fitbit should do is make active minutes another feature of the app.  I suggested this before when fitbit went to zone minutes and it never happened.  If active minutes are gone for good I'm getting an apple watch.
