Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

100% agree! I detest using only a cell phone plus there is so much more
information on the Dashboard.

For me it was all about the database, food v weight, with breakdown into
carbs. Watches are not a game breaker. But you are right, They are running
it into the ground for some reason. Maybe it costs too much to maintain the
system, I don't know. I'm past caring and I am angry with FB that they
trashed my continuous history, assiduously and meticulously populated since
2013.

But...they are a company based on maintaining a web presence.

I agree. But what to do about tech support that won't respond to
customers?????

I am not sure what their corporate strategy is.

First they made the app unreadable and now the web dashboard is gone. Truly, there is very little left that would convince me to stick with FitBit. The product is no longer fit for purpose.

Precisely.

The trick is to communicate faster than they can review.

Since Google acquired FitBit - everything has been a mess!  I used to like going on my laptop and looking at progress and I could also change an 'auto detected exercise' that was incorrectly categorized.  For instance, I can't tell you how many times I 'walk' and it comes up as Elliptical.  I can't figure out a way to change that on the app on my phone and was always to do this simple task on my laptop.

I have a crack on the screen of my FitBit and it has been there for a long time and the FitBit is still working.  NOW - with all of these 'stupid moves' by Google (in my opinion) ~ I may look into getting another tracker device.  Apparently with the pages of comments here, I'm not the only one that feels this way.  Sorry that FitBit is gone, not impressed with Google as its replacement.

I cancelled my Fitbit Premium subscription today and in the reason why box, explained my frustrations. I have been a loyal Fitbit user for 7 years, but after my current one dies, I am switching brands. Not having access to a web dashboard is frustrating on so many levels and I am a tech savvy millennial. It's ridiculous that I cannot even rename my workouts anymore (the app has never allowed for this, though it usually lets you rename workouts if you have done them before).

Unfortunate, since I am pretty content with my tracker and Fitbit Premium is a fantastic feature. But the inferior app and the way Google has handled the takeover has really turned me off.

Bring back the web dashboard and we can talk about retaining my Fitbit relationship.

Desktop App keeps crashing not everyone has a cell phone - I use this to track things for work!
I do programs for work to get points converted to cash for medical bills.
Fitbit is so handy for tracking my steps/sleep & more!
I don't own a cell phone the desktop app is what I have been using with my Inspire HR since no other inspires are compatible!

Pls bring back the fitbit dashboard on computers. I eat the same meals many days in a month but having to pick through and choose individual ingredients each day to get macros sucks. I missing creating a "meal" on the computer that would show up on the App.

I completely understand! Having access to the dashboard on a computer was super convenient fc mobile. Hopefully, Fitbit will reconsider this feature soon—it's definitely a game-changer for many users.

I agree.   I just logged on to add some new favorite meals and find that the dashboard on my computer is gone and I now have a very limited and confusing Google interface to even get to this place.    I've had fitbits since my adult son was a baby, but this change will cause me to shop the competition when my Sense stops working or becomes obsolete.

Just canceled my premium subscription.   Without a Web dashboard, so much "geek" information is lost, and I can NOT easily enter new recipes for custom meals.

I hope that the loss of revenue for Google will drive them to pay attention to their customers.

I,too, dropped Premium.
Google has moved on to the Pixel products.

There is a dashboard written by a fellow fitbit user at https://dashboard.exercise.quest/

Many of us have been accessing this dashboard for about 2 months.  It has many of the same features as the defunct fitbit dashboard.  You have to click on things and explore.  It is continually being improved.  It uses the Fitbiit Web API to access your data.

I still wish Google would have listened to their customers and brought back their dashboard.

It won't, they don't care.

I accidentally murdered my old fitbit working a structure fire last spring and finally got around to ordering a charge 6 that is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I'm going to send it back as I don't like using my phone for much of anything except a FLIR camera and as a phone. I don't want to be a phone zombie. Now that the dashboard is gone I no longer wish to use a fitbit or any other tracker for that matter.

I accidentally killed my old FitBit last spring working a structure fire and only just got around to replacing it. My charge 6 was supposed to arrive tomorrow but I've already decided to return it. I use my phone as a FLIR camera and a phone and that's about it. I don't want to be a phone zombie as I keep scraping them off the road and into ambulance boxes and helicopters. If I had known the dashboard was gone I would never have purchased my new device. I work in computer science and know it doesn't take that much effort in the grand scheme of things to maintain a website. This is nothing short of expectation management, so I've decided to vote with my feet and my wallet.

It's obvious they could care less by making this unilateral decision.
After 12 years, I won't be using Fitbit when my current one dies.

I TOTALLY agree with this, it seems that they no longer care about older people, I also used it on the PC daily and now I can't be bothered at all with the app, it is so frustrating, time-consuming, uses too much battery life, I can't be bothered anymore with fitbit.

@malangaliThank you so much for your excellent video, I really hope lots of others can get to view it. I really appreciate your time and effort.

I have been a Fitbit user for 12 years and was devastated when they took the dashboard away and also decimated the usability and functionality of the app. They've done a terrible thing to older people and those with visual problems, as well as to people like me who just hate having to use a phone for intricate tasks. Shame on you, Google. I hope my post is relevant enough to publish, it certainly should be.

Thank you so much for your video.  So, spot on.  Sad that Google has chosen to ignore this issue and not even respond.  I guess it is inevitable that they will lose many customers me being one of them.  Anyone have any recommendations on other products
