Make Heart Rate Data export in Excel/CSV format

Please add the heart rate data to the reports that can be downloaded/exported.  The ones for the activity and sleep are perfect but since I have a pacemaker I really need to have one to print out for my cardiologist showing how often I rise above the set pace.

Thank you

Hi Fitbit,

This isn't a dashboard suggestion, but it's the closest (not at all close) that I could get. You have created 32 label for suggestion categories, yet this doesn't fit in any of them. You need a category marked "Other." 🙂

I just spent the past half hour finding out that I can't download heart rate data (I was interested in what my overnight low was, but the app is hard to read and the dashboard has only the composite, single RHR number. I found out that downloadable data are generally only a few data points per day, rather than granular data, and that for heart rate, we can't download anything at all.

Given that Fitbit is collecting minute-by-minute (second-by-second) heart rate data, and that the company says "your data is your data", why is it that we can't download any heart rate data?

Hi @andrewilliamson, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote!

I purchased the Fitbit Charge 2 in order to track my heart rate and sleep specifically (steps etc are bonus features for what I need it for right now). It is in connection to my therapy for recovery from a car accident and I need to be able to see a direct correlation of heart rate to activity. It is very difficult to do this with the Fitbit while wearing it - difficult to 'do' the activity while 'watching' the Fitbit - then having to write down the information before I forget. If I could download the daily report in more detail time line, then I could review my activities and the time of day I did them and match that with the heart rates reported.

I'd like to be able to view all of my historical heart rate data for a given activity.  For example, I'd like to view my heart rate from running on a treadmill for the last 12 months.  Having it by activity helps me to better understand my performance.

With the FDA approving the Apple Watch EKG and fibrillation monitor, Fitbit is really getting behind in the technology and application that could have made it a great product.  (They are no longer the early bird that can get the worm out of the Apple)

it is a great feature to be able to see resting average rates and heart rates while exercising but i would like to see if the option to export the details of a daily-weekly-monthly range could be made available.  Also being able to zoom in to see more accurate time that certain heart rates occur would be awesome.

I would agree.... I am a "super user" with my Fitbit Ionic for a very intensive fitness and professional lifestyle, and my wife with Fitbit Charge for medical reasons. Exporting the data would be very useful to trend for significant periods of time.

Thank you.

Thanks got the feedback from Fitbit. This request has been out there forever. What are you waiting for?

as a number of tech type people have said, the data is already there you just need to make it exportable in a .csv format.

✌🏼

Please add an option to download the HR. The watch already gets second by second data, we should have access to not only the raw data but also nice comprehensive graphs. HR will be the most important feature of fitbit in the future.

Yes, please! Exporting data to build my own visualizations is arduous 30 days at a time, and frankly I was surprised that resting heart rate wasn't something I could export. Especially since users have been asking for this feature for almost 3 years!

Almost 4 years waiting for this suggestion that is so easy to apply? A simple export to .csv? @LizFitbit Are you kidding us? We have to use web services of users that have already done your job, meanwhile what is Fitbit doing? I don't get it, I'm sorry. I have bought a brand new C3 that is not at its full capacity yet and quite a few important bugs waiting to be fixed. And a lot of logical suggestions that should have been applied long time ago.

Yesterday, I signed up in your beta program hoping to test the Spo2 in my C3, a feature that should have been available from day zero. But I'm seriously considering to return the C3 and stick with the Polar A370, and forget about the beta program and the 'spurious' Spo2. I prefer the aesthetics of the C3, and it seems a very nice band and feels great on my wrist, but I don't like this company behaviour at all. Seems that Fibit don't care about their customers and about their own products.

I want to have all the raw data that my Fitbit Versa measures. Why is it not possible to export this data?

I would love to tinker with the data and try to get more accurate estimates and increase my personal user experience. I would also have no problem sharing the results of my research with Fitbit to help improve their product for others.

Besides, am I not allowed to have all my data according to the GDPR laws?

Yeah, the csv data are great. Did some really sophistigated studies. Time intervals of 1 sec would even be better. When can I download these?

Kwatson20

I think to get HR rates accurate down to 1 sec intervals you would have to have something more expensive than a Fitbit watch.

You can get HR values down to one second intervals (usually), but only when the 'Activity' app is used on devices to which it applies.

I genuinely do not know why someone would say something like this since it is not true. The point in all of this is that it 'is' available - you can grab the data, but not with ease - Fitbit should be making this easily downloadable so we can analyse it ourselves. The battery in my fitbit is now starting to need a charge a lot sooner than in the past, so I will be getting a new monitor soon, and that will NOT be a fitbit - probably a Garmin.

Just adding in my request for this as well.  I'm coming from a Samsung S3 and I had this ability with Samsung Health.

Please add heart rate data to export -it's one of the most interesting things Fitbit collects and it would be good to zoom in to see in more detail. It also annoys me that Fitbit has more access to customers' personal data than we do ourselves. If detailed data is not possible, at least add the option to export daily resting heart rate to the 'export to Excel' tool.
