Manual entry of Stairclimber (add floors/distance)

The Fitbit doesn't register floors climbed on Steppermills and Stair Masters.

It would be great if we could manualy add floors to our daily totals.

Obviously we are already adding steps / calories / active minutes from doing the exercise... just want to add the floors.

Thanks

Fitbit, please give us an update when you are going to add the abilty to manually log stairs. Those stairmaster workouts are real work!!! I have 100 in today but the fitbit only logs 10 from my home. Frustrating!

@DerrickS Can you please update us regarding this feature request?

I, as well as many others I have heard from, use a stair master and/or stair climbing machine at the gym. Without the ability to manually add in the number of floors climbed, I am missing a great deal of not only steps, but floors as well.

I can add in a walk to get credit for the steps, but not the floors.

Thanks for your consideration.

I have the alta and didn't realise it didn't track floors, I would love to be able to manually enter floors, also means a chance to get those badges as well!

I am loving the motivation it gives me, and love the badges. And that those that use step machines or have the alta, a manual floor entering ability would be awesome

Just got my Blaze and noticed no floor count after having walk at least 20 times up a 12 ft stairway. Depending on air pressure for inside a home is just unacceptable, there has to be a better way with all those senors inside.

I found a simple solution to fix my problem, it may work for you as well.

For those where is stairway hight is close to 10ft, start with your watch are pointing down, as you walk up the stairs, close to the top, raise your watch arm slowly as you walk the last few steps and kep it up for 2 more steps at the top. Works every time for me.

Greetings,

There are times when I don't wish to wear my Charge HR, and It would be convenient to add missing floors to the dashboard.  In my case, I don't wish to wear the Fitbit when engaged in abusive, wet or dangerous conditions.  (Dirty or abrasive farm work, around dangerous machinery, etc.)

Thank you.

Supporting the 6 pages of previous comments asking for the ability to add floors.  My first Charge HR didn't count flights correctly.  The company kindly supplied me with another.  This one doesn't count correctly either.  I'm not sure what an additional comment on the same subject is going to do, but please add this feature.  Given that you already provide the ability to add activities, surely this is not too difficult a task.  Love your product, love your customer support, not thrilled with progamming responsiveness.

I would love a feature to manually add floors because it seems to miss all the floors I do early in the morning. Or when I get up in the middle of the night to use the little girls room downstairs, it somehow even logs me as still sleeping!

I'd love the ability to manually edit floors climbed on my Fitbit One. We're at a waterpark so I'm not wearing it today. I can add steps through the manual activity log but not floors. I climbed almost 30 floors in the 1st hour alone!

Fitbit makers! I upgraded to an Alta and am missing my floors climbed... I it 25+ daily! My One tracks that but wearing both is crazy and also is causing me to lose data in a sync and therefore losing steps and active minutes etc! PLEASE allow for manually adding floors!!! Pretty please!!

I would just like to manually enter floors climbed when my blaze decides not to work just like the sleep log. I'm putting in the work but cant record it. Come on Fitbit this should be a easy thing to do and stop your customers getting frustrated with your software.

Could not agree more with the subject and the sentiment!!!!

This request has been out there for 2.5 years!  Why hasn't this been added?  It would be fine if the devices would track stairs accurately but they DON'T.

Yep, how many software iterations have they been through in the last 2.5yrs... It's ridiculous that this hasn't been implemented yet.

Is anyone listening??  We need a way to manually edit the number of floors AND the number of steps in the dashboard.  When I drive rough roads I am credited with approx. 25 steps per kilometer (40 per mile).  When I drive up roads into the mountains I am credited with an absurd number of stairs.  I know what corrections need to be made, but have no way to do it.

It is beginning to make me fit-bitter.  It doesn't seem a lot to ask.

Agree a million percent. I'm starting to get a bit fit-bitter myself.
Great expression, by the way

I go to the pool and climb 2.5 "floors" to get to the top of the slides. I easily do this 10+ times per day I am at the pool. Obviously, I cannot wear my Fitbit in the water, so I do not get credit for all these floors climbed. Please, please add a manual adjustment to the floors climbed part of the Fitbit app!

There needs to be a simple way to add stairs and other activities without time being a factor (i.e., number of stairs using a minimum distance factor). Creating a stairs activity and having to guess at how long I walked up and down stairs throughout the day defeats the purpose of capturing all of our activity. Please make this more user friendly and supportive of FitBit's and Our desire to exercise more and track our progress. Thanks.

I recently summited Mt St Helens which has an elevation gain of 4450 feet.  However, my Fitbit Charge HR only gave me credit for 350 stairs.  I was totally robbed & would like the credit (and badge) for the hard work I put in.
Is there a way I can edit my flights???  Please oh please say there is a way 🙂

Thanks

I work out from home (3 small children) and do not have a flight of stairs to climb, but I do have a stair stepper machine. I understand why the Fitbit can't automatically measure how many floors I climb because I am not actually going up. I would like to manually enter the number of stairs or floors I climb because it is really frustrating to see all my goals met on my dashboard but not my floors even though I have climbed over 200 stairs on my machine. Please!! It will save me some OCD anxiety 😁. Thank you.

Hello, I like the flex due to it's size, the interchangable bands and ability to wear on belt clip etc.

I would love to be able to log stairs climbed... I feel a bit agrieved that because i've chosen the flex for the reasons above, that I cannot log the steps I choose to take and therefore cannot get the badges...  I appreciate that it's propbably a marketing ploy to get people to buy the next fibit in the range, but if you want the little flex and colour changes to match clothes, then you get penalised.

It's not encouraging me to take the stairs... I know they are still steps, but I would like to be able to get the step badges... and I know that I am motivated by little badges Smiley LOL
