Menopause (Pre, during and post) tracking

Good Day.  I am impressed by the implementation of "Period Cycles" etc under "Female Health" and all of the (well thought out) subsequent suggestions by the community on this subject.  However,  aside from "ELLYMAY46" who posed a question on "Hot Flushes",  Fitbit has completely neglected the consideration of the ladies undergoing Menopause (in any one of the three stages).  Now ladies, please bear in mind that Menopause may begin as early as in one's 30's. There are many cycles to a female's body in her life time, not just "the dreaded period part". Please consider adding Menopause as part of "Female Health.   We are not all grey headed great grandmothers who are bed ridden with one foot at deaths' door. Not only the beautiful, young, with their lithe firm bodies wear Fitbit. Menopause can strike at any time and it affects every lady differently.  It's duration also differs from one to another. You only understand it's annoying symptoms if you have / had them.  Thank you.

So Joogles, maybe for now it is easier to turn off 'Show period predictions" and "Show predicted fertility" in the settings and go back in when you have a dead half hour every few months to correct the record?  I haven't tried to see whether you can edit the set up values as another way.  Then I just have my own system for logging menopause symptoms: cramps means bloating; headache means irritable or confused; tender breasts is tender breasts; sick is night sweats and fevers.  I still have room for one more symptom to emerge in place of acne, lol.  Better than nothing.

I love the new feature where a woman can track her periods for getting pregnant, however, I am at the point in my life where I am starting menopause. It would be nice if this particular feature were adjusted a little to accommodate other women who are in the same place as I am. For example, where I log details, it would be nice if I could add more details. It would be helpful for us to track more detail about how much flow on each day. In the research I have found, they talk about tracking the number of ml based on how many (tampons/pads) we use. It is also a good idea for us to track if there are clots, how many and the size. I would also prefer to be able to give the level of cramping and the strength of a headache a number, like 1-10 on a pain scale. instead of just marking in the log details that I had cramping and/or a headache. It would also be nice if I could add a short note if something really unusual happened during a particular period. I hope you consider making these changes soon.

Hi...idea...can you guys find a way to track hot flashes so that you can help women regulate them better? You finally got period tracking but I can’t use it now...now I’m in a different stage. 😂 But really...hot flash measurement and tracking...game changer!! Thx. Please send the Beta to me..I’d love to test it for you!! 😊

Why are the female tracker features only for menstruation and pregnancy related issues? I need to log perimenopause and menopause symptoms. These represent a massive part of female health. Adding perimenopause and menopause tracking features will make a difference to your mature users - surely a growth area. Can you add please?

This is not really a specific suggestion for improving the female health tile, but I think it would certainly be worthwhile to collaborate with OB/GYNs on this tile.  Even post-menopausal women (natural or medically induced as mine was) have health issues related to this phase of our lives (osteoporosis, vaginal dryness, heart disease which are affected by low hormone levels, for example) and consulting with an expert would help you provide choices for women who are in all phases of our life.  Right now, the choice is only one...you have a period.  Many of us no longer menstruate for many reasons, yet we still have conditions worth tracking and we're feeling a bit annoyed that if you don't have a period, you don't count.  Please work with a doctor or women's health professional.  Make this tile work for all of us.

The female health tracker should not be limited to younger woman trying or not trying to conceive. The current "mood" options should include an "angry" emoji as this is a common emotional response with hormones and good to track. Moreover,  many fitbit users are moving into menopause and expanding "symptoms" to include "hot flash" would also be beneficial.  Can you please add these to the current set of options. Should be easy enough. Thanks.

Menopause symptoms- is it possible to add to the female health app additional symptoms that track menopausal symptoms? (For example hot flushes, vaginal dryness and night sweats)

Menopause affects every woman, typically from her 40s (or older) but can also impact some women earlier and lead to fertility complications. It is an extremely significant element of women’s health.

The only way to get noticed is to speak up, so here goes:

The perimenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal Fitbit user population  need and DESERVE the ability to track their feminine health every bit as much as the women in their reproductive years. Just because we're aging out of our childbearing years doesn't mean we age out of being important. Our feminine health still matters, and so do we.

Reconsider the Female Health Tracker, make it truly work for your female users.

Menopausal users need to NOT have the app telling us daily for weeks on end that our period is predicted to start / end today. Maybe tell me, "It's been __ days since your last period." Or a button for "perimenopause/menopause" that, when clicked, tells the app to stop predicting period start dates, since things are going to be irregular.

Not all users are menstruating or wanting to reproduce. It would be great to be able to track symptoms of menopause. I have had an ablation, so I don't bleed, but I still have cycles, moods, ovulation, hot flashes, etc. It would be great to be able to track those.

Allow some of us who are entering peri menopause to check a button to say we are in peri menopause in the periods section of the app. Fitbit I was disappointed to see you have ignored women who have asked for more menopause features like tracking hot flushes etc .. Please recognise ALL women and ALL life stages not just fertility. Thank you

Please make it easy to stop Female Health tracking without loosing all previous data. Since I got a new device, your app has started reminding me about periods frequently - but I am in menopause and don't get them any more.

Use health data collected by watch in combination with user input, similar to stress/mood inputs to add value for women which is not aimed at fertility or just period tracking, but gives insight into stress and other related to those experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Give related advice for dealing with hot flashes & suggestions to help.
