More Notifications

Hello Fitbit Team!

after a message of one of you moderator i have decided to make that topic.

I really like you products but the people using an IOS device really need more notifications!

So please give us more! 😃

Notificions i would recommend:

E-Mail

Whats App

Facebook 

and more messaging apps

All text and call notification, like Hangouts, Mensagens, Skype, Viber, ... should be selected at the same time.

In additions to the three options I have now on my Blaze for notifications I would simply like to have the options of "All Notification". I fell in love with this feature when my VivoActive showed me an alert from my bank app that a large transactions was just made...but I wasn't the one that made it! My phone was on vibrate in my pocket and I never would have seen that message except I had my VivoActive on my wrist. I like my Blaze in ever other way over the VivoActive. Adding all my notifications would make the Blaze completely #1.

as seeing a caller-id, for me it would be helpful to see short skype notices

There are so many sub threads asking for basic text alerts on the Charge and Charge HR.  Votes must now be in to many thousands but we appear no nearer.  I wish someone from Fitbit would just be honest and say why it hasn't been implemented. If it's never on the cards because the company want to encourage customers to upgrade to newer products that do support text alerts then just say it.  I find the customer forums all a bit of a waste of time really.  It's just a shared area for us all to moan to each other but nothing ever happens..

I agree Pinkers!  At what point (how many votes and posts) Fitbit, does it take to move beyond the Reviewed by Moderator stage and move on to a development and implementation stage?  This is a no brainer feature for all of your devices that allow for call notification.  Text message and other phone notifications should be allowed to show on the Fitbit display.  If you choose not to do this, then shame on you for loosing out on a key asset of the wearable technology market.  To stay competitive to other products this notification feature is a must!

I just find the whole process ridiculous. Let's create a forum for our customers to voice genuine improvements and then simply ignore them. Let's be honest they want us to buy their new products like the Alta Surge and Blaze rather than add a simple text notification upgrade. Shameful!

Not just do they not want to add it, but they'd rather put effort into breaking an app that could add this functionality (BitTicker).  Fitbit won't add any feature to the charge for notifications, their response is simply to push people to their new products.

Eventually they'll figure out what they're really doing is pushing customers away.

I would agree with that if the new hardware supported it but it doesn't, which means I'm not buying a new FB. Seems very short sighted to me that in an age when SMS messaging is one of many options people use to restrict a product this way.

Come on Fitbit guys, is this on the roadmap or not ? Otherwise I'm looking elsewhere.

yeah agreed. I don't think I've seen any requested features ever get
implemented? Perhaps biking mode for the surge (which was on the roadmap
anyway).

It would be nice to get notifications such as email, snap chat, facebook, etc!

ALSO! What about rejecting a phone call via the watch?

You already can reject a phone call from the watch. Just hit the red phone icon. You can answer it also from the watch but I'm not sure why you would as unless you pull the phone out you can't talk to whoever is on the line.

Just bought an Alta yesterday and I kinda feel misled that I was told it shows me my notifications but it turns out it's only call, text, and calendar notifications. I'd really like at least my Facebook and Facebook Messenger notifications at the very least.

I have loved the fitbit series but one thing i think is lacking is App notifications. Although the surge does specific app like whats app, hangouts or sms messages. being able to receive all notifications from my android device would finish off this product. also the ability to interface with apps the way android wear does.

im sure you are already working on something like this but feel free to poach these ideas and make money off of it.

For Android this is literally a one line code change in the manifest. I don't understand the resistance.

Very disapointing that I cant use Facebook Messenger on the Surge. I have seen a lot of questions regarding this, but no explanation from fitbit to why they cant add it to the options.

I just moved from Pebble to Fitbit Blaze. I do miss the notifications. Basically whatever notifications you get on the phone, should come to the watch. But it would be awesome to get a features to disable what you don't need.
