More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

I have been using Fitbit for about 3 years and I am closing in on the last badge.  I step more than most but I am no athlete. I want more goals, it is fun and motivating.  And I would like to know how much further I need to go to the next badge.

Hi @Broinhim2, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote!

The last badge is Pole to Pole at 12,430 miles. I received that a long time
ago. I’m not sure why there aren’t any more badges planned. It just doesn’t
seem like that should be so difficult.

I already have the highest distance badge available, how about some new ones for even longer lifetime distances.

Hi @林瀚夫, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about here. Keep adding your suggestions!

I wish someone at fitbit would listen. But I am unofficially awarding a
space cadet badge to 100000 floors, and space ensign to anyone who reached
1mill.

I made my own badges for 85,000 steps a day and 95,000 steps in a day

This may be obvious but hand in hand with challenges are the badges:  if challenges are  extended then adding corresponding badges.. also if we get custom challenges either:

Add the most popular aka common customs of the same ilk as limited edition challenges and if they are popular they can become new permanent challenges... it could even be a event by Fitbit and the people whose challenges are chosen have the badge named after them aka The Wilson Challenge or The Smith challenge.

Or if custom challenges are only saved locally for a group, allow basic editing on renaming the challenge (badge would also change to same thing) to allow for personalised challenges.

I'd like to see an option to reset a badges status from earned to unearned.

This would be a benefit for those that may have earned a badge years ago, got out of shape, but would like to get back in shape and have the encouragement offered by earning badges.

Beyond that, it would be greatly beneficial for those that had badges awarded to them in error. As an example, I began my weight loss journey from over 300 pounds, and have since lost over 40. unfortunately, I accidentally entered a weight like "21 lbs" instead of "291 lbs", and thus literally every possible weight loss badge was awarded to me. I deleted the weigh-in, but it was too late. I'd love to be able to go in and manually reset these.

I have a goal of reaching 25k miles walking before I turn 60. This is 1 lap around earth. I will reach mile goal in 2020. Please add a badge for 1 lap around earth!

i started this goal with Fitbit in 2012.

I would like to see a badge or perhaps some recognition for those in the community that achieve an extended streak of days that goals are met, it's posted if you hit a daily number like 40,000 steps but how about when an individual hit their daily target for say 500 days straight? Today will be 994 days in a row for me if I make it so just saying.

I reached 12,430 miles a little over a week ago.  It would be nice to add additional length mileage badges or at least re-set back to zero miles.  Basically start a second lap to 12,430 miles.

I still have heard nothing from the company. Are they stonewalling us, not reading these or just don't care?

Broinhim2,

With this suggestion being “under consideration” for coming up to 6 years, in November, I feel it a safe bet that FitBit “just don’t care”.

The strap on my FitBit blaze broke a couple of days ago, and in seeking a replacement, I’ve drawn a complete blank, apart from the cheap and cheerful copies. FitBit have discontinued Straps for the Blaze. So, the time has come to bite the bullet, and wave goodbye to FitBit, and take my custom elsewhere, to hopefully a company who do listen to their customers and who deliver a valued service.

I’ve held off making this move in the hope that FitBit would deliver, and will be sad to see the stats I’ve accumulated over the years disappear, but enough is enough. As I’ve stated previously, there are a few competitors out there, who I’m sure will listen, and react, when good suggestions are made.

I too have been considering leaving Fitbit. I have been through more than one a year since I started with them.

It is silly for us to believe that Fitbit listens to us at all.

Been with Fitbit since Mar 2014. After this Fitbit goes. I’m done. I’ve bought 4 Fitbit’s since I started with them. So I’d say I’ve invested enough. But they are no longer listening to their customers. So time to move on. What we’re asking for shouldn’t be too difficult. They are spending their time and money on useless surveys and an interface change that totally wasn’t necessary. The new interface is horrible. And you can’t go back. Ugh! Fed up

Yeah. Sell your Fitbit stock, the company has one or two years to go.

Under consideration for over 6 years a 12 year old could have written that code in 15 minutes. Just say you have no interest in giving long term users a better experience and be done with it. Tell us to go get a different tracker. Maybe an Apple Watch?

Under consideration since 2013.  Clearly, the Fitbit wizards aren’t in any hurry to make a decision...

Hi! Ya, so true and I thought of switching. My kids have bought other
watches so l familiar with them. It’s a shame for Fitbit. When my watch
dies, l’m finding another brand.
