More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

Gosh only 3 still to choose from I like my 4 still on charge 2.Time,date,floors,and steps that’s the order I have it in from top to bottom.Wished they wouldn’t have put only 3 on it still?

It's insane how limited the clockfaces are.... why is the no clock face editor in the first place??

What I'm really missing is a clock face with:

-Digital numbers for time

-Date

-Heart rate.

That's not so much to ask...

I had to buy fitbit charge 3 for the whole family but as I see that I still hang it I have doubts. I am surprised why there are so few languages to choose  and there is no Polish language even such a weak company as xiaomi has Polish.

I agree with everyone else, the Charge 2 clock faces are WAY better! You have heard all the complaints, do an update and give us 1 clock face?! Why?! Why wouldn’t you give what your consumers want?!

I strongly suspect the problem is that some numpty, in their infinite
wisdom, decided that 3 data fields would be adequate for displaying
data on the clockface.

Having done this, we will probably find that the firmware will have to
be completely re-written in order to accommodate more than 3 fields.

It's the only theory I can come up with that would explain the total
silence and the incomprehensible time delay.

Another theory is that the firmware staff were contracted for the one
job and all let go before the release.

Whichever is the case, there needs to be some serious re-education at
FitBit up at a senior management level.

That's an improvement over the other options. It's fairly close to the charge 2 face.

It’s my understanding the hardware is completely different so it’s a complete recording of everything. I think we can all agree it’s better to roll out the new clock faces slower and not have the software bust something else. The newest one isn’t perfect, but it’s getting there.

No, I don't agree.   The product should be released when both the hardware and the software are ready - a complete product that meets customer needs.   And how Fitbit could possibly think that the original watchfaces were adequate really confuses me.

While I'd like to be able to choose just what is shown in exactly which locations I choose I also have to defend Fitbit some because the Charge 3 was complete and ready to distribute. It may not have been complete in the way everyone wanted but it is complete and does all that it is supposed to do.

I like seeing the date and time as well as my heart rate. You only have one clock that shows all three. I need more options ! You should be able to switch things around!

Really??? Until the Charge 3 does what my Charge 2 already does, allow me to see the date, time, steps (including number of steps) and heart rate just by flipping up my hand, I won't be upgrading. 

I was looking forward to a waterproof Charge 2 to use while swimming, but not to give up other functionality. I've been a fitbit fan for a while, but I'm exploring other brands.

We can all agree on only one thing - and that is that the current
situation sucks.

I'm pretty sure that if there had been ANY input or feedback from
FitBit, users would not be so annoyed and upset.

You're right, the hardware IS completely different, and the hardware is
far better, and it's waterproof.
But: they released this item at full price when it was barely usable -
that is one issue.

Trust me when I say that designing and building a watchface is trivial.
It is so trivial that children and amateur programmers can do it.
This is NOT a difficult thing to do.
And that is why there are absolutely no excuses that FitBit can
possibly use to explain this situation.
They got it wrong - so wrong in fact that it's hard to believe they
have a long history making these devices.

If they had produced a device that had the same functionality available
as the Charge 2, I think there would have been very few complaints.

As it is ... Read through the 30 pages of complaints before you try to
excuse their behaviour.

There HAS been feedback and input from Fitbit and at least a few new faces since the 3 came out. It may not be the exact ones some people want but they ARE working on it and making steady improvement. The snowflakes in the group will have to try something new. Patience.

insults help no one. the clock faces are simply a litmus test of a deeper underlying problem, which is unfinished products going to release and no feedback on even the simplest of requests.

its not just a clock face issue. its a no text-reply capability issue, a no SpO2 capability,  a jacked up workout calculation algorithms, or proper sleep tracking. all promised features.

the issue is they marketed a product with features that has the hardware but no software interface to use them. and the software that is does have is deeply flawed.

the clock face issue is simply the most irritating of the missed marks bc it SHOULD be the simplest to address and fix and they simply ARENT.

so no, this isnt a "snowflake" issue being bratty about a small tweak. its a MUCH larger issue with the companys marketing philosophy and customer service.

So we’re getting there slowly, despite the new face being released, it still doesn’t show heart rate. I have to wonder the thought process of the developers, they can see what we want and yet chose not to give it, rather 75% of what we asked for. It’s not like there isn’t enough real estate to fit time, date, steps, & heart rate. 

Come on Fitbit. This is supposed to be the most advanced, but still falls behind in display information.

Gutted not to have same watch face as the Charge 2 I've had for years. The Charge 3 doesn't have ONE clock face that shows calorie count on main screen!? On the Charge 2 i had date, time, steps and calories. Perfect. How can the new version not have this? 

I have to go in to the scroll screen AND calories arent even at the top!? such a pain to scroll to just see a simple stat. This means i cant just glance at screen whilst working out and see my calories and steps.

The scroll screen of stats should also be customisable like the Charge 2. 

PLEASE PLEASE make the Charge 2 clock faces available on Charge 3, and the customisable display.

Can anyone confirm if this will be updated soon otherwise i need to return the Charge 3 and revert back to my dying Charge 2 as need calorie

count on main screen for working out?

Also how on earth do you upload a photo here? I tried to add photo of desired watch face plus customisable display options from charge 2, when i click on the camera icon there is no option to select files from PC, just a datas field called Source, Image Description and Dimensions!?

In fairness we now have 3 faces with a date, this was critical for me as my work makes a watch without a date unusable.

Just need to improve the faces now.

I suspect some serious questions have already been asked at fitbit HQ about who signed off the originals without a date, prett much a school boy error!

GOSH u guys I’m still glad I didn’t purchase a charge 3.I agree with everyone I would have loved to have charge 3 be exactly like my charge 2.Except it be waterproof.

For all the people wondering to return charge 3 or keep it?If I had bought one I would return mine and wait to see if they change it for the better?🤷‍:female_sign:if they do and it starts getting great reviews 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻Then u could always buy it again at a later time.My experience on the adventure challenges changing when they have said they were I have been waiting 9 months now when Fitbit has said they will but they have no idea when or how long it will take?I have started doing Stridekick and hope Fitbit gets added to relive.cc like another person suggested thanks for that who ever suggested these apps under this post?So this is why I would return your charge 3 if u r unhappy with it because In the last year Fitbit response to suggestion have been taking months-years for me.

I think that they are listening to the clock face issues not least because the most popular rating on Amazon uk is one star and the main issue appears to be the clock face.

Very disappointed with clock faces on charge 3. Charge 2 faces much better. Could all faces from charge 2 be included? I really like a clock face showing day, date and time and also steps and heart rate. Also needs to be bigger and/or bolder as struggling to read the face even with glasses on.

Great suggestions by everyone. I would also like to see a watch face with 2 time zones. For working professionals whose client is in a different country or for what so ever reason. It'd be great to have that option. 

My ideal watch face would be the one with 2 time zones(or one, provided that another one is in the next page), date and day and a status bar for the steps completed with respect to the daily target.
