No Notifications in Sleep or Do Not Disturb Mode

It would be nice if you had the option that when your tracker recognizes you are asleep, that notifications are disabled. That way you are not awaken in the middle of the night by a text message that could have waited until morning.

Is it possible to set a Do Not Disturb time so that things like "Quick View" and notifications don't appear at set times?

The example above from my IPhone

You know how when you move your arm in a particular way, the screen turns on? This is great except when I'm sleeping. Sometimes I move my arm at night and the thing lights up bright and really disrupts sleep. It would be nice to program in quiet hours during which the screen auto turn on and text message notifications are disabled. Please consider adding it. It must be very straightforward to implement. Thank you

Yes, yes, yes, please.

Not just for sleeping, but anytime you're in a dark room with other people. The movies, a play, a concert. Would be nice to quickly toggle quick view off so I don't blind the guy in the row behind me.

Quick view is terrific ...unless you're trying to sleep! It's so bright that it lights up the room! It would be great if you could set time of day when it's active. Or since, like Santa, it knows when we are sleeping, having the option to have Quick View turn itself off during sleep would be great, too.

Can we have Quick View On/Off screen in the Charge 2 so that we do not need to use the phone to turn on and off this feature?  Thanks.

Yes please. It can be really disconcerting having the room brighten every time you turn over at night!

Ability to turn Quick View off on the watch would also improve sleep amount. I have been woken up by the bright light with movement at night.

I also vote to add this feature to a future update.

This is my single biggest complaint with the Fitbit! No wonder I'm restless and awake so often! Every time I move my arm the sun like shining of the Fitbit wakes me up. Please please please add a sleep mode so it doesn't turn on automatically during certain hours

THIS. Exactly what I came here to suggest. Not only does it bother ME, but it also blinds my poor boyfriend awake. I have never ever wanted to see what time it was on my watch while in bed.

I love the feature of notifications of text and calls as my phone is always in my bag.  Could this feature be expanded to notify me when I get messages through Messenger as that's how I get most of my 'text' messages these days.

My ex said "Either take off my Charge 2 at night, or she was leaving."

Wish I'd bought one sooner.

GershonSurge cracks me up. But this is my biggest gripe about this device. If nothing else, the light should sync with the sleep schedule and not turn on unless you affirmatively set it to do that. I thank you and my wife thanks you.

YES, PLEASE!  I have reverted to using my Alta for this very reason, (although I like the Charge 2 better, and although the Alta lights up a bit also when I move during the night, but it's not nearly as bright).  It defeats the purpose of using a device to track your sleep patterns when the device itself wakes you up every time you turn over during the night.  When it woke my husband up, who is a sound sleeper, it was time to switch back to the Alta.  I know you can turn the Quick View off before you go to sleep, and then back on in the morning, but you shouldn't have to go into the app to do that all the time.  🙏🙏🙏

I agree with all the above comments about the auto screen light up in the middle of the night.  Please make a way to be able to turn this off during sleeping hour.  Otherwise I love my Fitbit Charge 2.   Thanks for listening.

This is exactly the suggetion I logged on to put forward.  Yes, time controls on when device lights.  Plus, if you want to know the time during the night, you can still have the option to press the button to see the watch face.

My pet peeve as well. I like seeing the time at night so a dimmed display for me would be ideal and would be handy in the movies or when checking out the night sky. If the displays were in color, red would be even better.

Yes please add these options to an update!

Yes please. It would be good to have a sleep mode that disables the auto display of clock face.

Hi everyone! You CAN turn off the automatic light! On your app, click the top left image of your Fitbit. Scroll down to "Quick View" and switch it off. I just updated my charge 2 so I'm not sure if this was available before or after the update.

I agree though: the ability to set a time when "Quick View" is automatically enabled and disabled would be ideal for users that enjoy the quick view in the daytime.

Let me start out by saying that I love the quick view feature. I love being able to glance at the time as needed. However, due to the constant lighting up at night, I've had to turn it off Smiley Sad

I would love to use it again, but will not until the following are available - PLEASE ADD THESE FEATURES!

  1. The ability to put this on a schedule (so it doesn't keep waking me up at night)
  2. The ability to disable it manually via the device (for movies, etc) would be amazing

I just changed my setting on "Quick View" to off.  I'll get in the habit of tapping to wake it up.  It will be a bother to have to turn it on and off daily going through the steps.  Last night I just put a strip of electrical tape over the face and it was quick and easy and stupid that I did it.  $$ spent on the fitbit and I used tape to shut off the light of the screen.  Please make it easier to switch on the fitbit not the program on my phone.

Ability to schedule the quick view to be disabled would be great.

If the Fitbit could sense that I'm asleep and disable the quick view whilst asleep would be fantastic!

Agreed. It would be easy to have it automatically switched off between the user-set bedtime and wake time.
