Option for vibrate only for notifications (No screen waking)

After the latest fitbit OS 3.0 update, the screen now turns on with every received notification. The majority of time this is when the device is covered by your sleeve or you're not looking at it, therefore wasting the battery when the screen is unnecessarily turned on and also a lack of privacy.

I know some people may want this option but for those of us that don't, a toggle to revert it back to pre OS 3.0 behaviour would be very welcomed. So this would be vibrate when a notification is received and then when you raise your arm or push the button to wake the screen, the notification will be waiting to be viewed.

I agree, it would be useful to be able to have a 'vibrate only' function.

For those people who want to react on every notification you added the screen wake when receive a notification but I can imagine that an even bigger group than voted here does not want to read every notification on reciept, vibration only would be enough to eventually read them when you have time. I wear the fitbit at work and for privacy reasons I dont want the screen wake on notification, just only vibrate.

Now we don't have the option to choose wether or not we want to wake the screen on notification. Add this option would make the product even better than it already is. Battery enudurance will also benefits from this.

Fitbit, please provide an option for vibration only notifications!! I just received my Versa yesterday and as a new user was so disappointed to discover my screen would automatically wake and display message content upon receipt. This is an incredibly important option for both battery life and protecting user privacy.

i also really want the option to vibrate only with notifications, no screen wake! It's not right that when I set it to manual screen wake, it still lights up when I get a notification. This bothers me a lot when I'm trying to put my son to sleep and receive a text so the watch lights up! The privacy and battery issues others have pointed out are also good points. When the watch is set to manual screen wake, it should NOT wake up for notifications. Even on auto screen wake it doesn't make sense for it to light up when you aren't looking at it!

It would be nice if there was an option to get buzzed only when notifications come through instead of the screen automatically coming on and displaying the information. I set my screen wake to manual thinking this would work but it only prevents the screen from waking when I turn my wrist. The screen still automatically comes on whenever I get a notification (except for hourly step goal reminders... that only buzzes me and does not turn the screen on...)

Hi @FelicityB, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. At the moment it is not planned to implement it. Nonetheless you can still add your vote.

I would like to see and option where when text messages or any other notification come in you on the watch, you get a vibration only. The screen doesn't wake automatically.  To see the notifications you would need push the button or move your wrist.

Currently when text messages come in everyone can see the message.  Also most of the time your watch in is behind your sleeve this would help save on battery life.

Fitbit Versa should not display notifications  that are turned off on Android. The only option is to completely turn off notifications in the Fitbit app.

Please create a setting to have notifications cause a vibration without displaying them on the screen until you perform the motion to look at the screen. This should exist across the board for all fitbit trackers and smartwatches. This is the default setting for the charge 4 I believe, and I don't see why it's not for the rest.

Hello Fitbit team,
I would like to suggest the possibility to avoid having the screen light up when a notification arrives on the smartwatch. For example when I receive a text message the notification appears on the Fitbit screen which automatically turns on and people or colleagues can read all the notifications.
Plus it's a huge battery drain.
