Why has this not been implemented yet???? As a "fitness" watch/app, why would this not be one of the very important statistics that you would keep track of. All that is needed is the ability to manually enter it, just as you do your weight and water and food. I just want to be able to have all of my information in one app. Right now, I have to use the Samsung Health App to log my blood pressure. I would really like to delete this app and just use my FitBit. This would seem like a really easy fix. Come on FItBit, make it happen. I don't want to have to return my Versa and go back to my Samsung Gear 2. Please make this a priority.
Has this been implemented yet ? As has been said quite a few times, all that is required is to add a field for blood glucose test result and maybe insulin units taken ??? You can add this info to Apple Health. But that doesnt help if you have an Android phone lol.
I see notes from the Mods stating they need feedback from the community before taking this suggestion forward, however there are 2 items in this stream. I am interested in the Blood Glucose tracking (manual entry), not so much the Blood Pressure. So I'm not sure which is "under consideration". I'm already re-tasking the Food Tracking feature to track my medication, and I'm now considering re-tasking the Weight Tracking feature to track my Blood Glucose. I'm aligned with others on here that I'm looking for a single place to just log stuff that I need to log. Eventually it would be great to have dashboard/report views that line all of this information up on a timeline... which should illustrate cause-effect of exercise, eating right, and sticking to my meds against my health stats....
I think both have merits, but one of my previous suggestions was to have a generic logging feature which can be used to manually log any data.
so the same feature could be used for blood pressure ( which is two variables) or Blood Glucose ( a single variable)
I don't know if the Fitbit data is available through an api, but maybe its time someone put all this together in a health and fitness app that allows logging of a variety of dat from different sources.
It is very surprising how little attention this is getting. I guess a large number of people who buy fitbits are those, like me, who found themselves obese and having type II diabetes. If we are logging our diet and activity it makes sense to have one field on the app to store blood glucose.
+1 to both blood pressure and blood / glucose monitoring. Don't need the device to do this, just an area to enter the information on the dashboard so it can be logged and tracked.
Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We're always striving to enhance Fitbit products and services, and appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. We do not currently have plans to release this feature. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get releasedin our FAQs. For now, we will leave this suggestion open for votes (and closed to comments) so that we can continue to track community demand over time. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we will let you know if anything changes.
It would be great to be able to manually log blood pressure within the Fitbit App. I understand the Fitbit itself does not measure this but just like you can log your water intake, calories, and female health from within the App, we should be able to keep track of blood pressure readings. I am surprised this is not a feature yet given that many people turn to exercise to address blood pressure concerns.
With more people needing to monitor their blood pressure, it would be helpful to reinstate the ability to manually log the measurements into the fitbit app. It is helpful to be able to show my doctor a history of the measurements as changes in weight, exercise, nutrition, etc. are being recorded. Dates can also be matched up with medications, etc. No need to give medical advice, but a simple log will suffice.
Hi @dlt1022, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote! I also noted that you mentioned a second idea. I ask you to post only one idea per feature. That way, we can keep the board organized and searchable. This makes it easier to know which idea other members are voting for. Here is the link for another existing feature suggestion regarding notes for sleep patterns: Add tags/notes to Sleep Log
I just tried looking for my original post to delete it because its obviously overwhelming, but I can't find it.Vote? We shouldn't have to vote for anything. All the suggestions I have seen made are good suggestions. Not one is more important than another. Panels should just be options available depending on model and made by the user. Period end of story. So if my suggestion is just too old or too much for anyone to handle remove it. I highly doubt I will be making any others.Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device
I have an upper arm sleeve monitor that gives a standard and accurate read out, which I then manually log. It only takes a few minutes and is part of my daily routine along with measuring my weight. I have found logging my weight to be motivational and helps to keep me well within the weight range that is considered healthy for a male of my height and age. As with weight, there are blood pressure charts that define low, ideal, pre-high, and high blood pressure depending on age etc, and as with weight, blood pressure is a key health indicator. I think it would be a great addition to the mobile app and provide an indication on my Versa Lite as to where I am against my blood pressure goal.
Hi @GrandpaDon! That’s an interesting idea, thanks for sharing why you would like to have an option to log your blood pressure information. I've moved it into a similar suggestion, as the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
Following my suggestion I've looked around and downloaded the MyHeart app which does a really good job. If Fitbit does offer something in the future, I'd hope it at least matches MyHeart so I only need the one app. >From what I've read, a wrist worn blood pressure monitor does not yet reliably match an upper arm measurement from a wrap around sleeve. Is Fitbit working on this and would it be incorporated into an enhanced Fitbit watch.
