@BB1331 I agree with you. @JuanFitbit said that this wont't be a problem since the data is already collected and then just stopped replying. Very unprofessional.
Hi everybody . I'm glad to see your comments and feedback.
As stated before, this situation is not a problem. This thread and board is to leave/provide feedback for ideas and suggestions you all have provided.
As this feature is not available at this time, this is not a problem by itself.
Just to clarify the statement of our friend @AdisP . I didn't implied that the implementation of this feature is not going to be a problem. You can always verify the whole thread.
I get where your desire for this feature comes from. And our team is looking forward to make your Fitbit experience the best it can be.

@JuanFitbit I don't get your post... We are on the "feature suggestions" forum? Why can't we ask for a function that shows the laps when swimming? Everyone goes swimming in a pool and every pool has a clock we can read. We don't need a clock while swimming on our watch, we need the laps we did. And the fitbit is keeping track of it, it's just not showing it.
So I think that its a fair question of all of us to ask for a function that shows the laps while swimming... (just like the fitbit ionic does).
@JuanFitbit your post is very confusing to say the least. This situation is a BIG BIG problem for us so why are you undermining the problem? Showing data which is already collected and which is already shown on other FitBit devices is something that should have been implemented long time ago. And regarding the experience, for the swimmers using Charge 4, it is currently closer to being the worse it can be.
Hi everybody! Thank you for your comments. I apologize if my post caused some confusions.
I didn't meant that you are not allowed to ask for the feature. This board is here for that, to hear your ideas and feedback regarding them.
I get where you feel that this is a problem.
I mentioned that this is not a problem, in the sense that the tracker is working as intended, so that this is not a bug or something in that line. This is a feature that you all want and you are voting for it.
I just wanted to make clear that you feedback is welcome but that I didn't mentioned anything regarding this being implemented soon as stated by our friend AdisP.
Please fell free to continue providing us your ideas and feedback about them.
@JuanFitbit so what is the status of our "feature"? Can you make any prognosis will it ever be included and when? As I can see from the posts of other users, that information will determine if they will sell their band or not. I know for certain that some other brands are updating their bands on a monthly basis so why can't this obvious problem (i.e. lack of the most basic feature) be solved soon?
Dear @JuanFitbit, I am not sure that you really get the gravity of the problem. When you turn on the "walk" exercise you always see the length you have taken. So why can't we always see the number of laps/distance which we did? We are not asking for much. Believe me, other manufacturers (FitBit’s direct competition) offer a lot more.
And you say that this situation is not a problem by itself because the device is working as it should. Okay, you forgot to include the most basic functionality into the Charge 4. I can understand that. But saying that it is not a problem would be the same as if a car manufacturer did not predict to include a speedometer or a mileage calculator in a car and said "Look, it is not a problem, you can still drive it".
So, please fix FitBit’s mistake and help us get this feature as soon as possible.
Hello, It's very sad to feel that my charge 4 is pointless during swimming and as bad as I want this feature to be implemented, Let's be realistic here, I don't think this feature will be implemented any time soon for 2 reasons:
1- The votes for this feature are sub around 63 by this time I'm writing, in the FAQ it says 500 votes is not even enough to implement a feature Look up for FAQ "10.How does Fitbit decide what Feature Suggestions are released?"
2- This feature exists on the higher end watches such as versa, and it might be a business decision to not have this feature implemented on this device.
I agree. Unfortunately not a lot of swimmers here. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't complain for being tricked into purchasing an "advanced fitness tracker" that is no smarter than an ordinary waterproof watch.
Yes I agree I got tricked too, it's such a waste of good hardware potential.. I got a Garmin and I'm very impressed with the way they thought about the user experience for swimming (Data shown during the workout, total active time, interval rest time, laps, total distance, last lap distance, pace /100m, how customisable are the screens, adding swimming workout plans).. It's another level, the charge 4 Is definitely not a watch for swimming
@walidbr2008 which Garmin do you have? I am considering it as a replacement. I agree with @__.Anne.__ there is nowhere explicitly written that it does not show the data which is already collected.
@__.Anne.__ , It's very misleading and sneaky too as it didn't say it shows those post or during workout.. Which is open for interpretations. I wish they made the API open to the software developers so they can write their own programs..
@Edin88 I have the fenix 6, got tired of the low end because of this misleading marketing stuff, but the features I mentioned for swimming can be found on the forerunner 246 and higher or the swim 2 if you are only interested in swimming.. I feel bad promoting garmin products on a fitbit forum but I think it's fair to hope fitbit will do a better job in the future.
