Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

This most likely will need a way to manually turn of quickview from the tracker, it already is in the app and web based dawhboard.

Having quickview turn off automatically durring sleep most likely wont be possible for a while, your tracker doesnt kniw your asleep. thus is calculated on the server after the first sync after waking up.

For the love of sleep uninterupted, PLEASE give us the option of turning off quick view on the Charge 2! My husband is a light sleeper and has asked me to just not wear it at night anymore. And at the movies I had to cover my Charge 2 four times because moving my hands/wrists inadvertently switched it on. (ironically, it's hit or miss whether or not it turns on for me when I deliberately make the movement to turn it on.)

Agree, perhaps have the quick view enabled and disabled based on time of day. Having it turn on at night time is annoying.

I am having a lot of trouble with my Fitbit Charge. I have it a little over a year and it wont hold a charge and now the part by the button is falling off. Not very happy.

As well as a night mode on the app such as Twitter has.

I know there is a thread for silent mode.  I have Charge2.  A Bedtime mode that keeps the display from coming on when my arm is raised or moved would be great.  The display is bright (I like this in normal use) but the bright light coming on during sleep has actually awaken my wife and me at times.

I agree, it's annoying to have the screen of the Fitbit wake you up when asleep

This would be a great addition

Quick view is great during the day, but not so great when you're trying to get to sleep as the screen can be quite bright in the dark, and illuminates every time you move your wrist. This can be incredibly annoying if you're a shuffler, like me. It makes me take it off, which means I lose out on sleep tracking.

A simple solution would be to either link to the iPhone inbuilt "do not disturb" schedule or to have its own schedule settings, say "disable between the hours of 10pm and 7am".

Thanks.

I would love to be able to set a schedule for the Quick View. It wakes up my husband at night if it's on, so I usually have it turned off.

This is definitely a functionality that is needed, but there could also be a scheduling option, because the screen illuminating before you fall asleep might actually make falling asleep more difficult.

Hurry add this feature, my wife have a alta and me a charge 2 and we are disturbed with the light tonight !

Having the quick view to automatically turn off while sleeping would be the best improvement that could be made to my Charge 2. It wakes me and my husband up at night

Similarly, it would be a wonderful feature to have the ability to schedule an 'always on' display option (similar to the Galaxy s7). I, along with many others around the forum here it seems, am aware that this would greatly reduce battery life. However, a simple disclaimer statement and the ability to toggle the feature on and off at will would satisfy a large range of potential uses for many different types of users.

@TMcBroom your point has already been suggested, I suggest adding your vote there. Personally I think this would be the best way to go, especially since the tracker doesn't know when a user is asleep.

I'd really like this ability, too. I'd prefer the option to turn the quick view feature off during a set time window (my phone goes into 'do not disturb' mode the same way), and that may be easier to create, but I'd be happy with it also doing it when I'm asleep, too.

I think being able to set predetermined night/bedtime hours that would dim the device and/or disable quick view would be helpful.

I'd just like to add to my original post that there is another, better performing post, featuring the same request here:

It would be better to upvote this one than mine! Or just do both 🙂
