Completely endorse all the comments - it's high time we had a UK database. I feel as if I've been taken for a ride as UK customers get much poorer service than those elsewhere.
Saying "it's in the works" after all this time is unacceptable. Frankly, it should have been launched for all countries where you have significant Fitbit sales simultaneously.
When WILL you provide a definite date for this feature ?
Thank you for everybody's feedback, we are currently developing your request for a UK food database. We will be sure to update this thread with more information as it comes in.
I look forward to a UK user friendly food database, although I am managing to alter the details on existing US products manually. It's arduous but my basic products are done and saved. Having lived in California for 3 years has given me a little help in knowing similar products and name variations.
I bought a fitbit today and I am seriously considering returning it as there is no uk food database. I find that rediculous as how can you track your overall health if it is only easly tracking your exercise. who has the time of day to manually imput every single food. if it is not simple, I wont be doing it. Other wearable devices have the uk barcode scanner specifcally. This is why I am considering returning my fitbit charge.
Very Very Disapointed. Pls Pls get a uk food database as this was my prefered device.
Also, regards the previous comment on wednesday, developing a request for a uk based database is VERY different from developing a UK based database. What a farce. All the Adverts on TV in the UK, you would think Fitbit wanted a significant usership in the UK.
Hi guys, I couldn't agree more. I have a Fitbit flex, and am seriously considering purchasing the surge, but the massive whole that is the uk food database is holding me back! It's all pointless unless we can properly log what we are eating. It's the final link in what is a great product. Please sort it out!!
I've been using Fitbit for over 4 years now and this was suggested when I began using it. If they havent added it in 4 years then they're unlikely to bother.
Or at least an option of syncing another app into our Fitbit so that all detail can be on one page! Having a healthy living weight loss product and leaving out food intake is a big oversight on fit its part!!
I find it depressing that on Facebook back in January 2012 this was mentioned as coming "soon".
Now 3 years later it turns out to be only "Under Consideration".
You can also only vote for this "under consideration" item by registering on the web site; therefore potential buyers will just skip the product entirely due to the lack of a UK database.
How iresponsible selling and marketing a product in the UK which is not specifically geared toward our own food. What use is a US food database. I'm really....... what do you call it in the States "PISSED" about this. I have had my device for 1 week. If I don't get a response in 24 hours the device is going back to the shop and posting on Amazon.
This device is not fit for purpose!! Thanks Fitbit.
Myfitnesspal app syncs pwrfectly into fitbit app. Great easy to use UK database. Use Myfitnesspal to manage your dietryand water input to Fitbit and Fitbit ro manage you tracker, burn and calorie deficits.
This is a bit of a work around and you need to link the two apps which is really easy.
And danish! It doesn't matter if it is lacking a lot of foods, as long as the users can add foods my bar code and images it could be a community build food database.
