Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

Certified waterproofing of the Surge device to at least truely 5ATM at minimum is absolutely necessary! I love my Surge but not so much when I have to take it off to do laps in a pool at my gym! I lose out on that data! It will also be necessary to beat out the competitors new products as well in the next round of improved tracking devices. You've got a great product going here! Please take it to the next level!! 🙂

Guess what. There is a company called Waterfi that will water proof your Fitbit for $100. You loose the altimeter which is counting floors benefit but everything else works. It's awesome. Don't wait for Fitbit they don't even have a waterproof device in thier roadmap. Or you can but the actual Fitbit from them that they already Waterfi.

Having a sea and pool-proof fitbit is especially relevant to the Australian and I guess other lifestyle locations like California where in Spring and Summmer and prior to climate change in autumn and even winter we would be swimming in the sea, doing water activities. I am really surprised you guys did not offer this originally it is so obvious. There is actually a company swimmio who was trying to get a swim proof smart watch off the ground long before this discussion.

Hello Fitbit people!
I am really interested in getting a Fitbit, specifically the Surge for multi sport tracking. Is there any chance that it will be coming out in a waterproof version? I would really like to be able to track my swims as well. Secondly is there a chance that you will come out with a device that will do everything that the surge does but with a more discreet look and the possibility of dressing it up with accessories such as the ones from Tori Burch?

Please make a waterproof version of the Charge HR. I love swimming laps, but don't wear my current Charge HR because it's not recommended for submersion. If you could design a way to capture and count laps swam, that would be awesome!

Just wondering, will you guys come up with a swim tracker? Doesn't have to be anything complicated. It could just be a Fitbit that can work underwater and continue to track your heart rate & calories burnt while swimming.

Swimming would be great to track.

Thanks!

I would really like to see a fitbit that could be used while swimming. I have two competative swimmers in this family and to be able to track heart rate and activity - wow!

As a swim coach, I spend a lot of time in the pool.  I would love to have a device that can track my movement in the pool.  Entering the information manually doesn't work for me.  Sometimes, I am swimming laps, sometimes I am walking with a beginning swimmer.  Please, make a waterproof device.

Do you swim? How would you like to monitor laps, miles in pool? Maybe a waterproof model that can measure strokes which can be converted to meters would be very helpful.

Agreed. Anyone doing a mud run or any other organized running event can't wear the tracker.

I agree, the ad for Fitbit has a guy wearing while running in tough mudder, false advertising I think. If the developers are reading this, make your product tougher!!

I agree, as an ex competitive swimmer with a charge HR, it would be really useful to be able to view my heart rate chart as you normally do after a workout. it would also be good to keep track of kms and such.

Fitbit needs to make a tracker that is either water resistant or waterproof so that it can be worn in swimming pools. Many of us do swim and had the Weight Watchers Active Link do know that this can be done. As they were able to be worn in swimming pools. Many of us are not happy that Weight Watchers chose to begin selling your product for this reason. We should not have to manually enter our exercise of choice when we know the ability to make this type of product is out there. Also like Active Link, Fitbit should have a find my Fitbit options as a part of the mobile app. We should not have to have another app for this. Quite frankly there is no excuse for Fitbit not already having done this.

To be honest, I think it is rediculous that you have go manually input anything really these days, waterproofing it cannot be that hard. They created a Sony phone you could get drenched in water and with the invention of not having to insert a charger to charge there is no need to even have an exposed charge point. When I emailed them they said it was down to the "force" would like to point out SPEEDO has one for water, you just need to make it more aerodynamic to rid yourselves of the force issue

I have a FitBit One.  I love it, however, most of my exercise is obtained through swimming laps.  Please make a FitBit that is good while swimming and will track laps.  One of your competitors, iFit does track laps.  I really don't want to change brands, and I have been most happy with the FitBit and the FitBit app and the FitBit Community!  Thank you.

I've seen ads all over the internet from a company that waterproofs the Fitbit Flex and the Charge.  Of course, the the company indicates that Charge loses some functions if it is waterproofed -- a waterproof Charge won't be able to calculate flights of stairs, etc. Other companies that make a waterproof device (Garmin, Misfit, etc.) don't use that technology, so it's easy for them to waterproof their devices.

But the Fitbit app can sync with a multitude of Fitbit devices.  I own a Charge, a Charge HR and a Zip, and all three are connected to my phone app and my account.

So here's my suggestion.  A Fitbit device specifically designed to be worn in the water, one that can detect motion in the waterone that can be worn for water aerobics and swimming.

I'd much rather have waterproof than stupid altimeter stuff.  floors climbed are always wrong anyway.
