Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

Flex 2 is the only model that is waterproof. I would like a charge that is
waterproof. It gives me more of the information I want to know.

No, it hasnt. "Waterproof" is not synonimous with what i asked for. Its
just the first step.

I'm been an avid fitbit user and had several devices, but recently had to switch to an all in one device by Garmin that has GPS, HR, activity tracking, phone controls, messages and fully waterproof.  Garmin fails in comparison to Fitbit in many ways: customer service, app, visuals, etc...    I really want to get back to fitbit, but until they have a true all in one device, I will have to remain with Garmin.

Hi I have a charge HR but I would love a Fitbit which is completely waterproof and tracks swimming and heart rate. Currently there are no Fitbit devices that can do this but would buy one straight away if one was released. I love the heart rate monitor on my current device as it's not only useful for tracking activity but have also found it informs me when I am getting sick as my resting heart rate increases. I love it!

Check the Waterfi website.

I have got the Fitbit Flex 2 which is waterproof, what I would like to see now is Fitbit develop a waterproof Fitbit, like the Flex 2 but with a heart rate monitor, as I do things like gym classes and my Flex 2 tends to struggle to pick up the stuff where I'm not doing step based exercise, It tends to account for 18 active minutes when the class is around 45 minutes

@asid,

About waterfi, this doesn't jump out at you?:

"Please note: To completely waterproof the Charge 2, the altimeter has been sealed which can result in an imprecise 'floors climbed' measurement but will not effect other stats and readings."

So in other words, you'd be losing a key feature of the Charge 2.

@swim4lifekac, Fitbit has support for multiple trackers, so there's no reason why you couldn't wear the Flex 2 in the pool and the Charge 2 outside the pool.  You'll want to make sure you sync both trackers when you're switching between them.

I really don't care about floors climbed. The key for me is being able to see my heart rate in the pool.

@asid, it's completely fine if you don't care about floors climbed.

However, to continue to point to folks to waterfi without pointing out that they would be getting, in some respects, a crippled device is doing folks a disservice.

Just my 2¢.

I want a Fitbit that is completely waterproof. I kayak a lot and my arms, body constantly are getting wet. I also jump out every so often to cool off or do a little snorkeling on top of the water.  I have cameras that can go 50 meters underwater and take phenomonal pictures. They also have a tinted screen so you can read them and see the screen in  bright light. I don't have to stop and keep drying them off. Yes, and they must be plugged in to recharge. No water issues of any kind.

After all this time I don't know why a true waterproof Fitbit is available. I would think this would be a "must have" feature.

I have stopped using my Blaze because after just over a year of owning it the battery will only hold a charge just over a day and have never been able to sync it with my Aria weight scale.

YES! I wrote to Fitbit about this challenging them to build an activity tracker with the functionality of the Garmin Vivoactive HR GPS Smart Watch with Wrist Based Heart Rate but the look and feel of a Fitbit. Most reviews of the best activity trackers for swimmers have Garmin at the top. But I have a slender wrist and I want a tracker that can count/time my laps but also track my heart rate and steps while cycling, walking, doing pilates, sleeping, etc. I want to be able to wear it for the whole day without looking like I'm wearing an oversize men's watch. I need something slimmer and less obtrusive. The Charge 2 looks like a great compromise for me, but it does not support swimming. I don't need a large display. Unlike some I don't need to see my lapcount while swimming. I'm happy to analyse my workouts after the fact. All I really need to see is my heart rate and the current time. It should be possible to make a tracker slim enough to do that. I do not want to have to keep two trackers.

Go to waterfi website. They have waterproofed Fitbit charge 2 but the floors climbed will be wrong.

Are you thinking of a specific fitbit model or is this a request for all models?

My only problem with the FitBit trackers... they boast about being all about active lifestyles, but none of their trackers live up to truly active lifestyles.  I had a Flex that never stayed clasped on my wirst.  I stepped up to the Alta, anthe the clasp has come off just as often, except with the flex... the band's rubber actually seperated from the plastic clip that joins the band to the tracker.  I tried 3rd party bands and even that couldnt sufice.  Yesterday the band broke again while I was walking carrying a box through Manhattan, and it was lost before it hit the sidewalk.  PLEASE FITBIT!!! MAKE A TRACKER THAT STAYS PUT!!!  I love the technology but refuse to keep buying subpar bands!

Most of the trackers offered are sleek and elegant, which certainly hits a large market.  If you want to step into the realm of the truly active, you need to look into something else, nothing FitBit offers even comes close.  Take a look a G-Shock watches or something of the sort.  Military spec might be overkill, but again... it may break into anothe niche market all together.

I am looking to compete in my first triathlon and need a device that is waterproof and GPS so it can track my bike time and run time while not ruining if submerged.

I love the fitbit community and don't want to leave my friends and challenges. Will there be such a device in the future? I don't want to leave the fitbit community.

I'm looking to get fit but to step up to the Ultimate Watch and wrist Activity producer and provider. I'm looking for a full Scuba Dive Computer and Watch with all the functions and integration with regulators and tanks and dive logs! PLUS all the regular features AND inclusion of water sports. Seams like everybody is after a complete waterproof version especially for children! Let's pull together for the ultimate under water tracking unit and then that can design down from there for those who are not interested in such high tech features! I'm on my 3rd Fitbit! So clearly I believe in the brand! Is anybody listening? Vote today and vote often!

The button has fallen out on my current Charge HR. I'm hoping the new Surge comes out soon with the current features, HR and it's waterproof. Otherwise I may have to go to a competitor. Which I really don't want to.

Is it really too much to ask to have a Fitbit that has the heart rate monitor of a Charge 2 or Alta Hr AND the waterproofing and swim metrics of the Flex 2?

I loved my Charge HR, I was so sad when it died.

I am now wearing my Flex 2 all the time.  I bought it to supplement my Charge HR, I swim year round and needed something waterproof.

I miss my heart rate monitor.

The next device I buy will monitor my heart rate and will also record my swim metrics.

Would love to have an all in one fitbit. With HR & waterproof for swimming laps. Dry land workouts straight to swimming laps. We shouldn't have to switch out trackers in between. Keeping  the size of the Charge HR even better if fitbit can fit it all in the size of the alta HR!

Yes, absolutely I agree. I engage in many watersports and would love to
have a single tracker do it all!
