YouTube Music App

It's been almost a month now and a huge product like the Fitbit has only a couple of apps, and one music app. So I was hoping you guys can add the YouTube Music app, since it allows access to a huge selection of music videos and audios. Also the app have 100 song downloaded for offline use. It chooses them based on your taste and updates them every now and then.

YouTube Red is the only paid music service I've used in the last 5 years. I couldn't even bring myself to use the free trials of Pandora and Deezer because of their pay walls and bad UX. Spotify is the only other paid service I'd consider, and that'd only be for podcasts. Too bad that doesn't support offline music anymore on the only Versa with built in GPS 😞

Please, please bring official YT Music support (or at least offline Spotify)!

Youtube Music would be amazing for Fitbit! Especially for users that don't have Spotify.

Please, please do this. I really want music on my Fitbit, but I already have YouTube Music (previously google) and it already has my playlists and music and everything. I don't want to pay for two music services, and I REALLY don't want to have to create all new playlists and favorites in a new app. Plus, you guys are now part of Google so it seems like google music would be a better choice than Spotify.

A HUGE +1 for this, I'm not interested in signing up for additional music services to use music on my Fitbit. I've used Google Music and now YT Music for years, it's a fantastic service and has enough user density to have a Fitbit App integration made for it. I'd rather buy a different tracker that gives me that option then move music services. If that helps you understand priority. That being said, now being a Google property, I would hope they make this a priority. Any updates or feedback on this request would be appreciated by all I'm sure.

I am in the market to replace my husbands Fitbit after the face popped off. I will say, when smartwatches cost between $100-$500 dollars a pop, the apps that are available are one of the many decision I've taken under consideration.

As a subscriber of YouTubeMusic (previous GoogleMusic), and Fitbit not having YouTubeMusic as an app but Spotify and Pandora. I ask myself, should I find another smartwatch company, or should I cancel my YouTubeMusic subscription and go to a competitor?

If my understanding is correct, Google owns both YouTube and Fitbit..

Why would they want to lose money here? I dare say my YouTubeMusic subscription could far exceed the 1 time cost of a new watch as I don't subscribe to FitBit premium.

In the end, YouTubeMusic App on Fitbits platform will prevent the following google search: "Smartwatches with YouTubeMusic"

Google just recently acquired Fitbit as a company. So eventually they will
get around to developing YTmusic for the Fitbit platform. But what we don't
know is if they will make it backwards compatible with older devices like
the versa II. But overall I have been very impressed with Fitbit, and the
Fitbit app.

I think we might as well have to wait for wear os and new smartwatches for
this to happen. I stay with YT music and hope there will be an update soon.

This has been a suggestion and a request for years now . lets face it if you want a watch with YTMusic then you are just going to have to buy something other than a fitbit.  When the recharge life of this watch goes i will switch brands to something that does support the kinds of apps i would like to see.

@Newcomb68 You're correct that Google now owns FitBit, but the acquisition was only finalized on Jan 2021 (source: https://blog.google/products/devices-services/fitbit-acquisition/). This is actually why I am hopeful that this feature might actually happen this time around, but I assume it won't be immediate as making changes after acquisitions usually take time.

Also, Fitbit CEO James Park recently confirmed that the company will be building smart-watches with Wear OS in the future (source: https://9to5google.com/2021/05/18/fitbit-will-make-premium-smartwatches-based-on-wear-os/).

I think that integrations between youtube music/google fit and fitbit makes sense. Seeing how these are all under the same roof I would think that this could help fitbit become a more desirable product. I think this will finally push fitbit to a whole new level, integrations in this day in age are important in order to stay on the cutting edge. Slack is a perfect example of this

I purchased a fitbit sense in hopes that these integrations already existed, however I understand that is is substantial work and priorities are constantly shifting.

Hope this will be pushed through 🙂

Fitbit is now part of Google.  It's time to have a YouTube Music app on it.  It's pretty frustrating that this hasn't already been done.

An app that can access YouTube Music. Even if it was just for premium and/or downloaded content. It would be nice to look up music, but that’s not always easy on a small screen. The link between FitBit and phone could help with that. I have a Versa 2, but I’m not the only one with a YouTube account.

Bump! YTMusic integration would be great. Fitbit makes some solid wearables for Android and this would be an awesome addition!

Hi,

I think I speak for many when I say that a youtube music integration would be great. Not sure if sense has the ability to download playlists offline but that pair with google fit integration would be so awesome.
