fitbit app on iphone crashes

with changes to the app, some of my tracked walk exercises are ok, but some slightly longer ones cause the app to crash. This never happened with old app. not sure where the threshold is, but somewhere more than 3 miles. The same exercise can be seen on the website dashboard without any problems.
This is needed because:
the fitbit iOS app crashes on specific walk excercise
I'd use this: Daily
