Ugh. Just tracked a run. New app categorized it as a walk and won’t allow me to change it. Another issue after an update. None of the troubleshooting helps. There simply is no longer an option to edit the exercise type. iPhone 13 Pro. Sense 2. And, yep. App, device, and phone fully updated.
@EBaby This is a very annoying, known issue with the app. Fitbit is aware, but there's no time frame for a fix.

Yeah. It’s kind of ridiculous. Hoping they forgive it out soon.

This is STILL happening. I can’t track a run. No communication from FitBit. What a bad look. I’m having to do all
my posts with markup to cross out “walk” and write “run.”
Anyone else finding resolution or getting any kind of communication?
I wish I knew. Because my workout class is randomized so I don’t know until after the warm up with we are g going to do more HIIT style or step or straight circuits. Now I can’t change the workout from just being recorded as a workout after the class.
Best AnswerThis is so annoying. I’ve been faithful to Fitbit, but I’m a health coach and a personal trainer and can’t any longer recommend this brand. I don’t understand why they don’t just put that app at a prior version to they can figure this out. It’s not like this has been happening for very long—at least to me. When did this begin for you?
Best AnswerIt started about the week of Nov 26th, 2023.
Best AnswerWOW. I'm so sorry that's been your experience. I just started experiencing this in the last few weeks. I'm training for running goals and am also a personal trainer... I need a reliable device and tracking. I guess I'm on the hunt for a new fitness tracker, app, and company.
Best AnswerThanks for your comment, Eek607. Unfortunately, I can't. I tried that, and it doesn't work either. There is nowhere to change the type on the website/dashboard either. Fitbit just needs to fix this in the app and otherwise.
Best AnswerHmm, it's tricky on the website - you need to get to the dashboard, then click the individual activity. Above the activity, there's "Activity", click that and then the view changes to a list view. There's a pencil icon next to each activity, click it, then type in the type of activity. It should start auto-filling once you type. Definitely not as convenient as the app used to be for sure...
