ECG app disappeared from Sense 2 and Fitbit App

MY ECG App and function has gone from my Sense two, I've only had it a week and was working fine. I have read loads in these forums and nothing has helped, I'm in the correct country and haven't left, I'm over 22. Tired restarting Watch and phone, cleared the cache etc, none of which have worked? Not sure what else to do??

Hello @RickyWoods is the ecg app missing from the Sene 2 or tge Android Fitbit App?

Best Answer

My wife and I have both bought Fitbits to monitor AF. All worked fine until today where we found no historic ECG reports were showing in the ECG tab. I reinstalled the Fitbit app and now don’t even have the ECG tab available. We have a Sense 2 and Charge 6 but both have the same problem (both using iPhones).

Can anybody help?

Thanls

I have the same problem. I have a Fitbit sense 2. Today the ECG tab has completely disappeared from the app. I have tried uninstalling and the reinstalling app, turning Bluetooth on and off. Resetting my phone and watch. Nothing works, ECG tab and history has completely disappeared. Have asked the support team who told me to try Force stop on app. Still no ECG tab.

Same here. Closed the App and also tried reinstalling. Hopefully just a temporary bug otherwise both Fitbits will be returned.

I don't have an i-phone so I think this is definitely a problem with the app. I have two friends and they have also said the same. Thier ECG tabs have disappeared today on the app!!!

Oh same here! I bought Sense 2 a few days ago as a gift to myself. I wanted to check the features today and the ECG wasn't working. It shows a blank screen and doesn't even let me go back.

I genuinely thought something was wrong with my device specifically

I thought I was losing my mind!  The ecg tile is gone after pixel 9 pro system update for May!

I did a chat with support and had already done all their suggestions so they blew me off with. ". Look for an email from us"

I need this to work-i use it several times a week because I have atrial fibrilation!

It’s pretty clear that something isn’t right on Fitbit’s end. We only just bought both watches specifically for the ECG monitoring so will be returning them if this isn’t functioning soon.

I just got off phone with Fitbit support and from my screen recording they
verified this is an issue and she is escalating.
Hope we get resolved soon!

I have sense 2 and pixel 9 pro also absent in app on pixel tablet!

Same problem here in Belgium. At the "You" tab the part of ECG readings totally disappeared. I can still do ecg reading on the watch, but can't find the readings. Tried to update, reinstall etc..  The main reason I'm using the fitbit sense 2 is the ECG feature and having some bad episodes right now so I'm actually in doubt of buying something more trustworthy.

I've had an email this morning from chat support. They are looking into it... Will let you know if I hear anything else.

Exact same thing for me. Just bought a pixel watch 3 and when setting up the feature it keeps giving a blank screen on my phone. Tried everything possible. Got really frustrated as I bought this watch because of this feature. But relieved to read that I'm not the only one. Hope they have it fixed soon.

Same in Germany, have 2 sense 2 both are used for ECG (EKG) but now the function completely disappeared from the APP.
This function was the reason to buy the watch and I will return it if the function is disabled

Same issue here, suddenly no ECG app under You > Health Assessments.
Was mid suspected AFib, not finding the app to check stressed me out and put me into SVT.

Not happy. I bought this watch for this feature and up to now I've not found much features better than a £20 one outside of the ECG.
Aren't Google supposed to be a competent company or did they splurge all their money giving workers like me joblessness stress through their AI empire? It seems most Google services are utter crap now. They probably had ChatGPT code this bug into it. How do you even miss something like this on a HEALTH sensitive app? Even 12 year old coders are more careful.

Besides that I've had no end of issues with the watch in terms of accessibility as well, and this again feels like discrimination for people with heart issues no matter how benign or dangerous they are as considered copped out in terms of care in their small-print disclaimers. We don't even have dark theme in the app and it makes my cataracts suffer now I have them, having to invert it each time. I guess the typical Google ableism is to not care for disabled and relatively unwell groups like myself, even though fitness is just as important to us than any other. Weird that those who made Android can't even work out how to get coders to add dark theme to the app and screen invert is hit-and-miss and hard to use for people with ironically accessibility issues. Of course, for no reason again just make people with issues' life harder for no reason. And God knows what they use for the plastic straps, my skin is relatively insensitive and I was sore as anything with hard skin from the strap and had to buy a new one made of apparently the same plastic. Yes, sus  that gave me a blood clot and caused ne the weird symptoms I've had since. Must be chemicals. In that respect, it could well be that my Fitbit has made me less well and exasperated also my health anxiety, but my doc pretty much demands I use it for ECG logs.

Clearly their money isn't invested here. If ECG is removed I want an immediate refund for this overpriced early 2000s phone-screened junk.
My app is up-to-date and my region did not change or ISP and I tried reinstalling and restarting all but you all reassure me the source of the issue here. I am in the UK and haven't left house in 2 days and yesterday it was working. I've been a programmer myself and I would get FIRED on the spot for doing something like this. Issues like this should never be pushed to shipping, meaning the coders or testers aren't doing their jobs properly.

Hope you're all not feeling too bad from this.

What I fail to comprehend is that there is clearly an issue somewhere on Fitbit’s side but they have not acknowledged this and seem to be doing little to resolve it. As others have done we have both purchased Fitbit devices to monitor AF and be able to provide reports to our doctors. The devices are currently not fit for purpose.

From the posts here this issue seems to be worldwide and across Android and IOS devices. The issue obviously isn’t device / location dependent and is a major problem on Fitbit’s side.

Same issue here. I've had my Sense 2 for two years. Reinstalled Fitbit app. repaired with phone (Pixel 7 Pro).  Just have to wait for Google to fix it.
