Getting the time

Great stuff on the watch--but 99% of the time, that's what I want--the time. Seem to have to outsmart the watch to find the clock face. 80% success rate with that, cussing seems to help.

Hi @GottheTime  - you could also tryholding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to restart.

Then pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and turn off all the icons. Then when you raise your wrist you should see time.

Short press of left side button takes you to clock face.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

That's what you'd expect, but it doesn't. It shows heart rate, steps, all sorts of results other than time. Push left button again, useless. After various punches and prods, I actually do get to my watch face, somewhere after I get weather, my workout results, the price of tea in China, and whatever else.

What clock face are you using?  Could you have chosen a clock face that doesn't show the time?

Bingo--thanks.

For some reason I'm getting boxes of tea from China--can I send you one in gratitude?

I had this problem too, and Fitbit support concluded I need a new watch. Now I need to decide between a free Sense2 replacement or 50% off another model.

Hi @Babbo302 - what other models are they proposing? You bought the most expensive watch in the Fitbit range, spending more on a cheaper watch while your watch is under warranty seems very strange.

It is not clear what is actually wrong or what steps were taken to arrive at it being a watch fault. If you make a separate post elaborating your issue you may possibly get a different resolution.

The Sense2 would stop telling time 2 or 3 times a day. I was advised previously by a FB tech to restart it, hold the button until the FB logo appears, then let go and wait for the time to show up. It's a nuisance to be doing this all the time and I know it isn't supposed to work like this. Yesterday another tech tried to walk me through a factory reset, and the watch never did the vibrate thing, never has done that when the button is held, i.e. couldn't do a factory reset. This says to me that the watch is defective and needs to be replaced.

You're right that I shouldn't need to pay for a replacement under warrantee, especially for their most expensive watch to be replaced by a less expensive one. I did have to pay 50% of the price of this Sense2 when my original Sense died and they weren't offering those any more. I was expecting an even better watch of course, and got a less wonderful model for more money. Got the original Sense when my Ionic died under warrantee. Hmm. Seeing a pattern here. Business model?

There seem to be a lot of defects called out on the Versa 4 forum too, so may just go with the "free" Sense 2.
