i cannot get the google wallet and the watch to sync, it says something went wrong error connecting to sense 2. make sure that is close and turned on which it is. fitbit pay worked on my original watch however it got a fault which could not be fixed so was sent a replacement. while trying to add my card to fitbit pay i changed it to google wallet. does google wallet on the fibit require nfc or does it use bluetooth?

Welcome to the Community, @edallen01.
Thanks for the details provided and your efforts while contacting our Support team. I'm sorry you're having this experience. Because you already have a case created, I'd recommend keeping an open communication with our team in order to receive further assistance. I'll also forward your post so they can have it on hand.
About your other question, to make contactless payments with either Google Pay or Fitbit Pay, it's required to have a Fitbit device that contains an NFC chip such as the Sense 2.

So I too am getting the same error ie error connecting to sense 2. Tried everything reboots, removing Fitbit app and reinstalling & restarting watch, all unsuccessful.
Tried live chat last night but advisor couldn't help. All he could say was it was a known problem which they are working on. Scandalous that is advised to all customers current and prospective. Hopefully a solution will be found soon. But I see from the comments it's been a problem for several months

Apple or Samsung wouldn't have this fundamental connection problem. If there is an incompatibility problem with Google wallet replace with Fitbit pay which worked for me.

Good luck. Google sent me back to Fitbit.

I'm having the same problem, spoke to Fitbit chat, then Google pay. And they have now sent me back to Fitbit. Each time they just give the usual procedure of uninstall, reinstall, update everything. Tried all of this and hard resets and still get the error message. What a mess.
If anyone finds a solution please post here as I seem to be getting nowhere after numerous chats and emails.
Thanks

I was glad they at least acknowledged. But I do have to agree with you.
That's the standard canned response from fitbit/ Google.
--------
I would bet that is what they want. Certainly doesn't make you want
anything Google would make if this is how they treat supporters and their
products.

I didn't have this issue on my first sense2. Just had it replaced under warranty and now having the same problem on the new watch. So weird

Exactly what happened to me. I just received the replacement Sense 2 and now Google pay won't work on the replacement. So I swapped out one problem for another ....
