I bought the Versa 4 as a friend had an earlier Versa and loves it. Soon found out though that the Versa 4 is totally different. Fitbit has removed 3rd party apps, my bank cards don't work in Google Wallet on the watch although they work in Google Wallet on the phone and it uses Alexa instead of Google assistant even though Fitbit is owned by Google. If I can't control Spotify etc, pay contactless, integrate with Google assistant and do all the other smart watch magic it's not a smart watch as it's sold but basically just a fitness tracker which I could have bought for a quarter of the price!

Still no sign of 3.74 version of the Android Fitbit app and still issues with approved banks credit / debit cards.
@LizzyFitbit when is this going to be fixed?

Got 3.74 and it did not fix the issue with Google Wallet.
@LizzyFitbitwhen is this going to be fixed? The issue is a Fitbit issue so Fitbit must fix it.

Same for me. The phone app just updated to 3.74. I restarted my phone and my device (Sense 2) and then I tried to set up a major bank credit card and I received the same error message that I received prior to the update.
When will this flaw be fixed, Fitbit?

I have been trying to add Google Wallet credit cards to my watch for the past three weeks and today have finally succeeded so something has been fixed, I recommend that everyone try again. My bank is USAA.

Thank you. I saw your post (NottaName) and tried my credit cards again. Neither card worked today, despite both being major cards on the Google Wallet approved list. I'll keep trying, but so far the fix hasn't reached me or my Sense 2.

Yep, I can confirm it is now finally working! Wish Fitbit or Google would have acknowledged the issue and announced the fix...

I've tried again but unfortunately it still doesn't work for me.

I have just tried again with the approved Fitbit banks in the UK - Lloyds and JaJa - and the relevant credit / debit cards and it still doesn't work.
@LizzyFitbit what is happening here, some people can make it work but seems like it does not work with some UK banks. When is Fitbit going to fix this? You also have not answered my DM, why?

@infinidim The whole Google Wallet for fitbit experience is a big trial and error indeed.
Given the recent layoff at Google. I'm afraid this might have hit the google wallet for fitbit team and their left behind engineering team likely has no more interest or clue to continue the unfinished testing and work.

I have had a discussion with the JaJa bank today and they know there are issue with Fitbit Google Wallet which they are hoping will be fixed soon. Next I will have a discussion with Lloyds Bank in the UK to see what they have to say about the Fitbit Google Wallet issue.

Still have not heard anything from Fitbit about the issues we are Al having with Google Wallet on the Sense 2.
@LizzyFitbit what 8s happening? Who do we need to contact to get this fixed?

I was just advised by Fitbit (in chat) the following:
"Thanks for patiently waiting. I tried to check here on my end and there is no update yet from our developers regarding when this matter will be fixed"
And, that was that - he then ended the chat
So clearly, they're very aware of this issue and have not bothered to notify their customers or comment in this group.
I had the Versa 2 which suddenly decided it didn't like to go swimming anymore and died, so upgraded to the Sense 2 and now this crap!
So disappointing, as I used the watch pay ALL THE TIME!!!

Inside our hearts, we all know all developments at fitbit have ceased. The remaining tasks remain are for cutting features (e.g. music control, 3rd party app, challenge and adventures, open community, fitbit studio) and winding down.
I wish I were wrong. But this is it.

I have no idea how we get Fitbit to put some urgency to this. If they know about the issue then it is best customer practice to notify their customers.
@LizzyFitbit what is happening here? You seen to be very quiet on this subject lately!

@asiayeah I hope this is not the case. I have had Fitbit devices almost since they started and up until the Sense 2 I have been very happy with them.

@infinidim There is no way. Fitbit's answer will be, "Go and get a Pixel Watch"
I found pretty much everyone is more quiet at fitbit since the epic launch of Sense 2 and Versa 4.

It's working? I don't think so!
I've contacted them twice on their web chat and about 2 hours ago on their Facebook page. I think we all just need to inundate them with complaints to get some action 😕
