Has anyone had this problem and is it safe to use superglue to fix.  See pic

I just realized that the metal pieces on the back fell off of mine too. This is very distressing. I've been a religious Fitbit user for ages, and I'm so disappointed with the poor quality/durability.

That just happened to me. Not sure when the other one fell off. Super disappointing.

I'm adding myself to this thread as this just happened to mine this morning. I called support and am awaiting an email (that may or may not come, apparently, haha). If this many people are having the same issue, you'd hope Fitbit would improve the device. I've had data stored in Fitbit since 2013, so I don't really want to move to a new platform.

My feelings exactly! I went from the Fitbit zip to the HR to the next I believe charge 5 and then upgraded to the sense 2. ( I still have the zip and I passed the charge onto my sister- and both are still working!) I just wanted more than those 2 offered.
The last I looked there were over 1500 comments about the metal strips falling off. I think that should warrant a recall of some sort towards a faulty product!
I read many reviews about trackers and Fitbit still seemed to rate the best overall fitness tracker.
I don’t need an Apple Watch! So, I decided to bite the bullet one more time and take advantage of their 35% discount on a new one. I opted for the Versa 4 since I doubt they have fixed the metal strip problem on the Sense 2.
Sadly, they don’t allow the 35% discount on top of their current sale price. 😩
They’re back ordered, but I still have the use of my sense 2 for now thanks to Glue Dots holding the strip on!

I decided to try the chat and, even though my fitbit is within one year, I am apparently out of warranty? I have a 2-year warranty. Either I should be receiving a replacement or I should be refunded the amount for the warranty. What's the purpose of buying an extended warranty if Fitbit won't honor it?

Contact Fitbit through chat and they will email you your options. Someone received a refurbished one, I received 35% discount on new one.

This just happened to me after I finished charging it. How do I get it rectified? I just got this watch 7 months ago!

I called support, they opened a repair ticket, and I got an email pretty quickly. Mine was out of warranty, but they gave me 30% off a new one. I've got 12 years of days with Fitbit, so I didn't want to switch devices. I ended up taking the offer, though I'm annoyed about the whole thing.

Reached out through the chat support. Was told I would need my ticket reviewed. They reviewed it and decided I was out of warranty. They offered me the 30% discount code.

I, however, am currently a stay at home mom with zero disposable income while on maternity leave, so I cannot afford even the 30% discount on such an expensive item. I am a night nurse and I've been with fitbit since 14/15 when my far superior BASIC brand watch was recalled.

It really bothers me that this is clearly a common physical defect of the product, as shown by this thread with the majority of watches still being in warranty, yet they're going to expect me to shell out another 200 bucks to buy a new one.

This is the second sense 2 watch I've been forced to purchase due to manufacturer defect and short warranty windows. I bought a 3yr warranty for my first one when the sense 2 debuted in 20/21. They refused to honor it when the first watch battery/charging system failed within a year, so I bought a second sense 2 with the 25% discount code provided by support. I was furious at the extra cost of an extended warranty when they didn't even honor the original 2yr to replace the faulty product, so I did not spend the extra again.
To buy another would be my 3rd S2 purchase in under 5 years, and honestly it's purely unreasonable. Especially at the premium price.

On top of all this, the watch plate failed 1 month into a freshly renewed annual PREMIUM subscription and they are refusing to refund any of that wasted $80 even though I will be unable to use the service without a functional watch.

Needless to say, they have lost me as a repeat customer and I will be seeking other options for health and sleep tracking. I've loved my Oura so far and 1 Oura ring has outlived both S2 watches.

I had a very similar experience. I switched to the Amazfit ecosystem and now have their watch and their new ring. Their app is at least as useful as Fitbit. I had been with Fitbit since they were pebble, they have truly lost their way and they are clearly no longer worth the price point

Kindly yours

Fitbit doesn't care about us as customers since they foolishly bought out to Google. They had great products, great customer service prior to that. Until someone or something happens for them to stop making sup par devices and ignores the thousands & thousands of complaints, nothing will change. I will never buy another Fitbit device again. I've been treated horrible by the mods that only respond to any negative issues. We don't have freedom on speech/expression and yes, I'm well aware this isn't a courtroom setting. I hope you are find something, somewhere that fits your budget and Congratulations on your new addition to your family.

Very disappointing that Fitbit is not addressing this issue.  By the number of reports you'd think they'd fix the problem.  I noticed that Fitbit is no longer responding to any messages posted regarding this problem. I was offered the 35% discount as well but am not going to purchase a new device from Fitbit.

Well, it happened again. The metal trim piece on my 2nd replacement unit fell off today. It was only a 3-month-old refurb unit that Fitbit sent me to replace another unit that broke after 4 months. It was 10 days past my 1-year anniversary of my original purchase. I won't be contacting support, but I will try the super-glue trick many have recommended. If it works, swell. If not, this is my last Fitbit ever. This is a major design flaw that Fitbit is working very hard to cover-up.

Hi @LizzyFitbit can you help me get in touch with someone to warranty my watch? The silver plate just fell off my sense 2 while I was sitting at work. I've had this watch for maybe 9 months and I've never had a fitbit just fall apart for no reason before but I know this is the charging plate so it needs to be there.

Adding myself to this thread! Same thing happened to me this week out of nowhere! So glad I'm not the only one with this problem so I can see how it can be resolved. Hoping something can be done about it since it is a manufacturing issue and I've only had my watch for around 1 and a half years so it's still within the two-year warranty (*plus I don't even use it in water even though it's said to be waterproof since I never trust those claims). It's honestly so surprising how common this problem seems to be. I'm new to the whole layout of Fitbit's online stuff so navigating the website to find customer support to enter a ticket on this has been a pain and I'm still not sure where to go. Any info would be appreciated!

This just happened to me as well. Tried to start a chat with customer support but there was over a 2 hour wait. Ugh.
