How did you solve it. Does it function without the back metal plates?

I just put it back on with superglue, taking care not to get any of it
outside the two circular areas where the original glue was. It's worked for
me perfectly since.

I had the same problem with one of those earlier this week, that’s why I’m here, trying to figure out how to fix it!

I decided to use gorilla glue on the first piece that fell off, since I was out of warranty there was no risk. It worked! Then two weeks later the second metal piece fell off so, I did the same thing. Again, worked like a charm. How long will it last? Who knows but I’m happy my watch still functions. However, I cancelled my premium membership because I will not give this company another penny.
They keep making defective products and don’t care about their customers.
NOTE: Be sure not to put any glue on the sensors. All you need is two small drops anywhere else on the metal where it isn’t going to connect to the sensors.

I have no idea, that’s why I’m on the freaking site and I’m not getting any
responses! The only thing I get are People in the same boat, asking me the
same question I’ve asked, only I don’t have an answer for anyone!

Maybe a moderator or somebody’s with Fitbit could speak up? 🤷‍:female_sign:

Depends, is it more than a year old?  If it is, you’re out of luck.  Less than a year old, go to the Fitbit chat, keep asking questions until the AI sends you to a real person.  This person will take care of it.

If you still have the metal piece and your watch is out of warranty, you can reattach it using superglue. Carefully apply the glue, ensuring it stays within the circular area where the piece was originally attached. I did this with my watch, and it has been functioning flawlessly ever since.

I have similar problem.  One of the metal sensors on the back fell off this morning.  I do not get it wet.  I keep a face cover/protector on the face.  I have ad this device for a little over a year.  What do you recomend?

Best Answer

You are SOL, out of warranty, Fitbit won’t do anything.  You might as well trash it and buy something else not a Fitbit.

I used a toothpick and monster glue and very carefully glued it back on. It
is working thank heavens. I am a little worried about it coming off d/t
humidity this summer.

Hi I am doing ok but it is sad to see the response to all of those people
who lost the metal pieces off of the back of their sense 2 . It is an
obvious design or manufacturing flaw. I love my sense 2 and I know others
did too but they are probably never going to buy another Fitbit. That is
sad to lose so many people when other that that it is a great watch. I know
google wants to push their watches but those watches simply aren’t as
nice. Might put a bug in their ear b/c until now it has been a great
product with excellent service. This is giving google a bad name. Perhaps
google should increase their effort in Fitbit as it definitely would pay
off.

The sense 2 was a great product until it wasn’t.  Just wait, your metal pieces will fall off and if you’re over a year old, they will refuse to do anything.  Fitbit will lose a lot of customers, but it’s their own fault.
