Moving my Fitbit data to Google

ANSWERED

I have tried looking in my Fitbit app and Fitbit account on the web.  i cannot find Settings anywhere that would allow me to move my account as instructed by the email I received today.  Can anyone help me?  (Maybe I already moved?  How do I find that out?)

Hi there @TeddieMao!

It's great to see you here in the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for your question about how to know if you've already migrated your Fitbit account to Google.

Confirm that you can move your account:

  • Tap Settings in the top right. (If you see your profile picture in the top right it might be possible that you've already migrated to Google).
  • A notification to "Move your account to Google" appears when you're eligible to move Fitbit to your Google Account.
  • If you receive an error message while moving to Google, your Google Account might not be compatible with Fitbit. Choose a different Google Account, or create a new Google Account.
  • If you're eligible but are still having trouble moving Fitbit to your Google Account or logging into Fitbit with your Google Account, contact Customer Support.

Did everyone with Fitbit accounts get the email that went out or just the people that hadn't migrated over?

I did.

When I open the settings in my Fitbit account, there is no notification to "Move your account to Google".  I received the email that I have until Feb 2026 to move it.  Also, according to my phone, the Fitbit app is up to date.  So, I am really confused as to how to get this done.

Thanks.
