No apps are available for the Sense 2

Hi!

I'm a new Fitbit user, and right now I'm very disappointed. I just upgraded my band (mi band previously) to Fitbit Sensa 2 and this doesn't make sense, to be honest.

No apps are available for this smartwatch. I see the "compatible apps" section from the Fitbit app, but when I go there no apps are available for Sensa 2.

Basic functions that work on cheap bands like daily agenda or remote photo trigger are not available for a higher-class smartwatch. You can't be serious about that!

Also, I feel scammed because one of the functions you promote Sensa2 is the SpO2 checker, well this also is not available. You know that after covid people want this feature.

Not mention Google Assistant, Maps, or Wallet. I expected at least to be able to use my Google Assistant (connected to Google home)

I feel like this smartwatch is 2 steps back from what is available on the market, but you have hidden this information. My obvious choice between Sensa and Sensa2 was the upgraded version, but right now I see that the "2" is this downgraded.

When users can expect basic applications available? and seriously the answer "coming soon" is not the answer

You released an unfinished device, but promote it as a full-fledged product.

Current firmware version 1.184.52 (newest)

Hi @SunsetRunner - the issues you find are well documented in the forum, the watch should have been called something else as it's not an upgrade to the Sense because many existing features are missing.

There is no mention if Apps will be available, Google Assistant won't be.

If you are unhappy with the watch you can get a refund, 45 days if bought from the Fitbit site, or most shops offer 14 or 30 days.

I bought it over the Sense in the hope they'll finally realize the major screw up they did with the 2 and issue a few software updates to fix it and actually make it a proper smartwatch. I don't want to be pushed in the direction of a Pixel Watch.....no interest in one of them.

Best Answer

Unfortunately you can't return it if you used it. And if u don't try it out you don't know what your missing. I wish I could return it because the whole " a more advanced health watch" is straight up bull**ahem**. The sense is even better then this watch!

Couldn't agree more! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Why even call it sense 2, when as you say @Guy__ it isn't a upgrade to the first sense, but why do they say that its a more advanced watch then 🤦🏻‍:female_sign: talk about tricking people and fooling them into thinking this watch would be better. 😓

They mention 100 plus in website.  Not even single if you remove inbuilt features from app count.

This is really bad. We definitely need third party app support and music capabilities on fitbit sense2

I’m having the same issue, I had to switch off and re download the app and they started appearing. I’m going to leave it a little while before contacting support again.

@LizzyFitbit

Can you please list the hundreds of apps available so we users can better consider the purchase of Sense 2? Thanks

Is there an app called "hundreds of apps" in the App gallery? I just couldn't find it.

Good question! I was wondering this 2??

Like the calender that is an essential app for a smartwatch, why is it on the pictures but it's not available for the sense 2. Definitely not "more to love" more like "even more things to get frustrated over bc they launched a watch that's not that smartand doesn't have all yhe apps they say it will have and bc they tricked their costumers with these hundres of apps 🤦

I called Fitbit today - explained I had set up my new Fitbit sense 2 which was an upgrade from versa 2 and that there were no compatible apps available for app notifications. Surely that couldn’t be right as WhatsApp, banking, Facebook messenger etc appeared on my last model why not this latest version. They explained it would take a few days for apps to appear as it was a new device. Overnight it had loaded a few more had more appeared this afternoon. I’m going to give it 72 hours before I contact again as I do think giving it time is helping in my case.

Best Answer

Hi @SunsetRunner - in your case of Notifications, the list of phone Apps may not be complete for App notifications in the Fitbit App.

It is different to the issue of loading bespoke Apps on the watch, which is not possible on this watch and was incorrectly advertised as being possible.

This is essentially fraudulent misrepresentation and I want a refund directly from Fitbit. I don't have the option to return through the seller because the return window has elapsed. Kindly advise how I can get my refund.

Best Answer

If you can't get a refund through the vendor that sold you the watch, then the only other option you have is filing a dispute with your credit card company and if that is also not an option, then consider the money you spent, money towards your education on how to research and be more selective when purchasing further Google products.

Oh trust me I did my research, but the website was misleading and said there would be "hundred of apps" a lot of sites that reviewed the watch wrote that futures would be added. So I decided I was gonna buy the watch but that I was gonna wait until they released more futures, but then my husband knew I wanted a fitbit sense so he bought the sense 2 to surprise me (because he knew I have been waiting for it since I heard it was gonna launch during fall believing it would be an upgrade of the sense 1). So when I got it as a gift I thought I should give it a try but realized that this watch was not at all an upgrade. And the "hundreds of apps" information they have on there website is now gone as fitbit Elisabeth wrote on some answer here on the forum bc it was really misleading.

If I can't return it at least I have reviewed the watch in a very honest way on a lot of different pages and warned people to not throw your money on this bad watch but to invest in a good one instead. If the only thing I can do is spread information further if I can't return it then that's what I'm going to do 👌🏻

So disappointed.

@ItsAngiiemy comment was more directed towards @five8s as in your other messages it was clear you did your due diligence but unfortunately because of the gift from your husband you found yourself in a very difficult situation. I am in the same situation and I am sharing my experience to save others from having to go through what I have gone through. In my case my Versa 2's battery was loosing capacity to the point where it just had 18 hours of lifespan. So I was waiting and looking and actually preordered the Sense 2. Big mistake but in the USA you can return the watch even after it has been worn as long as there is no damage. Their return policy states "If you are unsatisfied with your purchase from fitbit.com for any reason you have 45 days from the date of shipment to request a full refund."

That is the reason I avoided Amazon and did the purchase directly from Fitbit.
