@LizzyFitbit. I am also having issues with Google Wallet feature on the Sense 2. I have three cards that I use for contactless payment with my phone but the app / Sense 2 doesn't allow me to pick the default payment method even though I can change default payment methods on Google Wallet on my phone. This needs to be sorted!!!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for sharing your insights about the Sense 2. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you've experienced with it. As mentioned before, we're constantly working to improve the experience with our devices, and feedback like yours is a big part of the process.

@infinidim Thanks for your efforts, as well as letting me know about the Google Wallet app issues. Just to confirm, have you tried removing your cards and adding them back? To do this, please follow the steps described here. If by any chance the issue persists, let me know the model and OS version of your phone so I can investigate on my end.

@DramaQueenDiva and @exploringwithab Before anything else, make sure you're located in a country where Google Wallet is available, and your bank is listed as supported. Once that it's done, try forgetting your Sense 2 from the Bluetooth settings, reboot your phone, restart your watch, open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device > Sense 2 > Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions. Then set up Google Pay one more time and let me know how it goes.

If you're using an Android phone, you can also try the steps described here to get the Google Maps working on your watch.

@asiayeah Thanks for getting back with more details about this situation. Because the issue persists, I've requested a case on your behalf so our Support team can look into this and provide you with assistance. They'll get in touch with you via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

@LizzyFitbit how to get Maps working if the tile in Fitbit app disappeared and the app in the Gallery, too (although I managed to install it before it has been taken down):

the app has now nothing to connect to. Don't you communicate with each other inside the company? Or better question. Did you get it working?

Don't have map tile! Should be there, why isn't it?

@infinidim because they pulled it when realized feature didn't work but @LizzyFitbit apparently isn't aware of that 🙄 I have Maps installed before they withdrawn it, tried to use it but didn't work (Google Maps app on the phone wasn't triggering connection with Fitbit app/watch app). All they could do was stopping the release and pull the feature back into development.

@LizzyFitbit, I've tried that several times, it doesn't work. I refuse to use my bank card and my bank isn't supported. My regular credit card is already set up on Google Pay on my phone, I don't see why I can't use that.

As far as Maps, I don't even see that as an app option in the Gallery.

I've set up my watch several times, and my phone is a Pixel 6a, so it is supported.

Not good. This is one of the features I wanted when I changed from Sense to Sense 2. The other is Google Wallet which also doesn't work. Moderator when is it coming back.

Android 12 latest patch level

Nokia G60

Have alsoremoved and re-added the cards before I came on the forum.

I also found a bug in the forum editor. If you put numbers sixty space five in a post it will not allow you to send the message @LizzyFitbit

@LizzyFitbit you didn't address my question. Does Google Maps work for you on Sense 2? It's a simple question that you can answer yes or no.

Yeah Google Maps isn't showing for me either.  The Google wallet is, but this function is utterly useless for me because my bank doesn't support tap on watch.

@LizzyFitbit ,

Why is there currently almost no Visa card supported in Austria using Google Wallet for Fitbit (while there are several Visa cards supported on Google Wallet for Android)????

Are you working on getting the same cards supported on both Android and Fitbit or do banks need to do something special to additionally support  Fitbit next to Android???

Marketing materials clearly state Fitbit pay available for sense 2, however it is not available and google pay is not easy to set up w/o call to bank. Also, no snore report on sense 2

Best Answer

The Sense 2 is such a backward step from the Sense.

With Google Pay it should be so easy to use the cards that are setup on your Android phone on your Sense 2.

It is not!

Tried to setup an approved card (says it is OK on Fitbit site) but after discussions with support I am now told they don't support Visa cards on Fitbit Google Wallet!!! This is terrible.

Google Maps, it is released I have been told but it seems not to be available to setup!

@LizzyFitbit what is going on here? Thanks for getting support to communicate with me but the result was not good. Can you sort out Google Maps for us?

I think support doesn't know exactly what is going on. I can tell you as a general statement saying they don't support Visa cards is not a true statement. I have both my local bank's debit card (Mastercard) and my Capital One credit card (Visa) working on my Sense 2 with no issues. My Capital One Visa worked from the start, it took a few weeks before I could add my debit card successfully.
