Here's a suggestion: Try to follow standard versioning practices. Why are such major features rolling out in an incremental revision? I mean, the clusterf*ck is already well under way, but it might be easier to fix the vast amount of bugs if you could follow a standard. You might even be able to create a... *GASP!* Roadmap!

@LizzyFitbit you have so many people complaining on this forum / community about the quality of the latest version of the firmware / software for the Sense 2. Can you please come onto the forum / community to give us factual information about what Fitbit is doing to fix the issues that we are all having.

Same for the Versa 4. Some update would be great!

This broke my sense 2.
Now it stops counting steps atleast once every 2 days without warning.
Asks if you want to stop your exercise while you are clearly exerting yourself and Auto Pause/Auto Stop are turned off.
Screen freeezes sometimes

Hard reset doesn't always but usually fixes the freezing and stop counting issues but no guarantees you wont also lose alot of steps when it comes back on.

I want to downgrade the firmware, the previous one was working fine

Hi @PPerryman  - Fitbit don't have a roll back feature.

When you say hard reset presumably you mean just a restart which can cure some things but not all. It often helps to logout of the Fitbit App and restart the phone too for some issues.

The phone has nothing to do with the watch not counting steps, the phone only syncs whatever the watch is reporting,
My issue is entirely the watch itself stops, even if it doesn't freeze it's step recognition is completely random i can count 30 steps and the watch counts usually less then that but then take 1 more step and it adds more then 1. and while walking you can see it counting randomly not a steady step pace.

And yes i did mean holding the back button down til the watch decides to restart
But thanx 🙂

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

Thanks for your continued reports and steps tried prior to posting.

In regards to the Google Wallet, make sure your card appears in the list of banks supporting Google Wallet for Fitbit. If by any chance your card is supported but you continue having an issue, I'd recommend contacting our Support team and sharing every step tried so they can provide you with assistance. Please click here to get connected with them via chat or phone.

About Google Maps app, this has been escalated to our team and they're investigating this situation. For any updates, check this other thread.

@PPerryman I'm sorry your Sense 2 isn't working well. While it's not possible to revert to the previous version, I'd recommend removing it from the Bluetooth settings, opening the Fitbit app, going to the profile icon > Set Up a Device, selecting your watch and following the on-screen instructions.

@IrishMichael I understand where you're coming from and thanks for contacting our Support team. Because you already have a case created, my best advice is to keep an open communication with them so you can receive more information.

@Rob108 I understand how helpful it'd b to have a clock face with the Stress Management details. In this case, I'd encourage you to share this idea in the Feature Suggestions board. This is the best place to make your voice heard and get the attention of our developers.

Hi,

You can just factory reset the watch to rollback to its previous version(the version that was shipped with your watch).

Though once paired it might ask you to update to continue setup your sense 2

Lizzy, my bank is on that list. As I've documented above, I've contacted my bank, Fitbit, and Google with details of the problem. And I have no better result than when I first reported it on 8th December.

This should have never been promoted as Google Wallet support when it is not supporting all Google Wallet for Android cards.

This is rather a Fitbit Pay+ or whatever....

Google should forbid you to use that brand name imho....

Google Wallet on the Sense 2 was so badly tested and quality assured before it was released. I have two cards from Fitbit approved banks which don't work. I have raised a case with Fitbit support, but they have not fixed them. I have also talked to the two banks and they say it is a Fitbit issue - both work on my Android phone in Google Wallet. As I have said before, one of the reasons I upgraded from a Sense to the Sense 2 was to use Google Wallet on my wearable and get away from Fitbit Pay. The other was to use Google Maps on my wearable. Neither of which works as described currently.

Fitbit, how long does it take to sort out issues?

I have just checked the advertising for the Sense 2 in the UK and it clearly states that Google Maps is available in the UK and there are no caveats for Google Wallet for banks - this is clearly a breach of the UK Advertising Standards Authority rulings.

So it can take calls but it won’t detect snoring like the earlier model did?  The entire reason I stayed with FitBit was the health features. My next purchase will be an Apple Watch. This is ridiculous.

From your phone's Fitbit app > tap your photo then tap App Settings then tap Clock Display Time.

Google Pay is not available for my Sense 2 yet. I’m in a country with support (Brazil).

Do you folks recommend any actions to enable it? Is this a bug? I already followed all the tutorials available and can’t see the option yet.

I would raise a case with Fitbit about this. If you look on the community you will see a lot of posts about this. I have a case opened on this as well as the isdues/lack of Google Maps.

Also have no Google Maps. Completely forgot about this one.

Thanks, will do it!

After talking with support and re-pairing my device a couple of times I now can see the Google Maps app and use it.

For the Google Pay, the support mentioned to wait for 24 hours. Let’s see if now I will be able to see it.

@ayr-ton I wouldn't give too much hope for Google Wallet. Even if it appears, chances are your bank cards won't work on it. Fitbit has no guarantee that a card supported at Google Wallet (on Android) will be supported on the fitbit.

I just got it to work, well as far as registering my card in my google wallet that is and watch - I have yet to try to pay for something yet on the watch.

The major problem I had at first was the fact that Fitbit pay did not accept any of my debit cards, then once I moved over to google wallet I could not enter a pin code, as the screen was stuck on the first digit.  A change of device did the trick I have a newish tablet and it worked on that.

Then the second problem was I had to take a photo of my drivers licence and send it to google as trying multiple times upset google and they locked my account, once they saw that I was not a criminal they unlocked my account, then I tried to add my Nationwide debit card only to be told it was not authorised for watch payments - Natwest was accepted but I have yet to do a transaction with the watch yet so could well fail at the alter.

I should mention I was able to add both cards to google wallet, it is just the fact that Nationwide do not accept payment by watch.

Now FWIW Nationwide internet banking told me, that watch payments are powered by apple, not sure if the lady was correct or not but sounds unlikely to me.
