7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Sense 2 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Sense 2 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

My guess is with a botched update like this instead of wanting us to spend money is more like COSTING THEM MONEY

Hi Lizzy, I’m still waiting for a response to my ticket. Any clues as to when or how long to expect a reply?
Ps I should add that it’s 10 days waiting for a reply now

Got myself a Sense 2 to replace my Versa 3, was working fine until the firmware update, since the update:
* The chic narrow typeface of the clock turned ugly bold.
* Dynamic GPS is total crap since the firmware update, the watch keeps vibrating because it loses GPS all the time and then finds it again, there is no way this vibrating all the time is better for battery time, plus it drives me crazy.
* I have to confirm turning on and off the sleep mode, every time? What is this? Kindergarten?
Please, the watch went from "Great replacement of my Versa 3" to, "OMG what have I done, did I spend money on this?!" since the firmware update.
I'd love to put it back to factory settings but how do I avoid getting that "there is a new firmware update available" message in the app, cause that's pretty annoying as well.

I've applied the update to my Sense 2. However, battery use is way up. Batter life has been halved. I need to charge my Sense 2 every 3 days, prior to the update I could easily go 5 or 6 days without a charge.

In how much time will this issue be fixed? New updates bring new features and improvements, not bugs and glitches.

@LizzyFitbit would you like to come on the forum and tell us how Fitbit development are getting on in sorting out the disaster of 194.61 which has effected so many customers who have Sense 2, Versa 4 and Charge 5?

Any idea when this roll out will be complete? I have been waiting for weeks and still no luck seeing the popup saying "update available".

Love that you guys finally fixed the smart alarm clock feature but seems like in doing so have created other bigger issues. Went for a bike ride today and the watch only recorded half of my ride... also have experienced a lot of issues with the app being able to connect to the watch, frustrating. What good is a smart watch if not all the features work as intended and cannot download the data?

In how much time will this update be rolled out to everyone?

honestly, I'm not sure why anyone would still be eager for this update when it's been established already from those who got it that it doesn't fix the Google Wallet or other issues... and in fact, seems to introduce a bunch of new bugs.
Seems like maybe they slowed/stopped the rollout while looking into some of these reported issues?

@thirstycat hopefully they have stopped the roll out.
@LizzyFitbit any news on what is happening?

My heart rate tracking is only working intermittently and then seems to be incorrect. I keep restarting it and it works a bit then stops. This started happening the past few day (possibly since update) Whenever I look at it it says it doesn't have 2 hours of data but I wear it all day long.

Mine stop not working a few days. It's really annoying. 🙄

I think what's happening is most people visiting this thread are reading JUST Lizzy's initial post about the new update now available and not bothering to read any comments posted here. And I get it.
07-26-2023 07:22
07-26-2023 07:22
With all the comments would you read all of them? Might as read a book at this point. She (Lizzy) needs to update the information including the date.

07-26-2023 14:42
This is really bad, my Sense 2 on latest firmware would randomly stopped tracking heart rate and I don't get sleep scores from time to time.
With all the documented and reported issues, who here thinks it's fair for Fitbit to give a free 1 or 2 months of Fitbit Premium to affected users? Please upvote to show you support this idea!

@LizzyFitbit can you please come onto this forum and tell us what is happening about this upgrade and what Google / Fitbit is doing to address the chaos that this update has caused to customers of the Sense 2, Versa 4 and Charge 5.

I believe Lizzy's hands are probably tied somewhat on this issue. She's not going to usurp Fitbit's official responses which in certain ways mention there are problems going on via private email and somewhat here in forums and especially by clearly scaling back the rollout and even stopping the new update reminder I used to keep getting.
But also seems like they are strategically (at least publicly) minimizing direct acknowledgement of the sheer volume of issues and devices affected by this update and Lizzy would not want to be out of line going beyond what Fitbit is saying and doing. I seriously doubt anyone anywhere for Fitbit including moderators here will say what many of us users already know, which is that this new update has been a complete TRAIN WRECK! Don't think we will see that happening anywhere.
