since the recent firmware update to my sense 2, my watch no longer auto detects when I exercise, specifically walking. I walk every day and this feature has been working consistently every day until such time as I completed this latest update. I’ve tried various recommendations from articles from years ago such as logging out and back in, removing the watch and adding it back to the app, reboot the watch, changing auto detect time down to 10 minutes, etc..nothing works other than me manually starting the exercise. Anyone else having this issue or got any recommendations? Thank you..

Hi @LindsayMeyer - did you also check the watch setting? Short press the button, select Exercise, select Walk, scroll up and check the setting for auto detect.

Thanks @LindsayMeyer - try the following, turn off any GPS, in the watch Exercise Walk settings but keep watch auto detect on, and turn off Bluetooth on the phone.
Do a walk and see if the watch detects a walk and after you have synced that it appears in the App.
In the Fitbit App go to the device screen and make sure that the Sense 2 is the only device connected to your account.
Turn off the Auto detect on the watch and make sure your phone Bluetooth is on and syncing for you next walk, and do another walk. If your watch is still syncing with the app it should then register.

@LindsayMeyer- I did a test walk for you with my Versa 4 [same as Sense 2] and firmware 194.86 and the older V3 version on the Fitbit App with watch auto detect set off and it didn't alert me for the walk on the watch but the walk appeared correctly in the Fitbit App a while after the walk finished.
If this is not working for you it is most like the poor V4 Fitbit App causing the problem not the firmware update on the watch, this is to avoid you replacing the watch for nothing.

@Guy_ Thanks for the update and help, I appreciate you taking the time and effort to try a few things. It looks like my sense is storing my walks, when I sync the app I can see the walk under exercise. What has changed is the walk does not automatically start on my watch and show me as exercising, it just shows the usual clock face. But as long as it is tracking my walk as exercise in the background and syncs with the app I suppose I can accept that. This appears to be the same behaviour you described in your last post. I’ll do a few more tests this coming week to be sure. I still have auto detect on and do not use the gps option.
