I said screw it and did a return to Amazon. I used it for about an hour before I realized that. Now I missed the boxing day sales though so I missed my chance to get what wanted. Very disappointed.

Lucky you... the store I bought mine from won't take the return because I've activated it 😞 Wish I knew it was missing major Sense 1 features beforehand.

Not sure if I should try to resell it or hold out for updates. Can't imagine this being worth anywhere near its retail price so I'll lose money on it if I sell...

I don't even care much for apps, I just want music control.

Hi @MattH665  - did you try chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, or your credit card company for a refund, and check local laws, in case they are obligated to make a refund regardless.

I'm in Australia and bought it from a retail chain here, no legal right to a change of mind return as far as I can see. They would have accepted it had I not activated it.

@MattH665  - still follow up on that, as suggested, was led to believe AU had very good consumer protection. Fitbit has a 45 day refund policy that may also apply.

Hmm yeah I've sent the store's online support a message with more of an explanation of my issues, will see how that goes otherwise I'll try Fitbit directly next - they do sell directly here but not sure how helpful they are if you bought elsewhere.

Time to look at alternatives.

Galaxy watch 5

Apple watch

Or a cheaper fitbit.

I'm really disappointed in the sense 2 and will be returning it.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to our new members.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the Sense 2. I see your point of view about not having more 3rd-party apps available and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. As mentioned before, our team constantly works to improve the experience with our devices, and feedback like yours helps us to make that happen.

If you haven't done so, please vote for this idea requested in the Feature Suggestions board, that way our developers can keep tracking this request over time. To learn more about this board, see our FAQs.

Hi Lizzi,

Thank you for your answers, however you do not answer the question: is fitbit going to allow third party applications or not ? Is the Fitbit team currently working on this? If not, why does Fitbit not want to offer third-party applications on the Sense 2 ? Please respond with facts that explain Fitbit's choices. This will help us make our own choices as customers.

Personally, I am extremely dissatisfied to no longer have on the Sense 2 the applications that I have been using for years on the Versa and the Sense 1.

Prove to us that our feedback are taken into account with credible and argued answers.

Here are the answers you are looking for and they can be found in the forum.

1. No 3rd party Apps will EVER be on the Sense 2, the advertisement for the watch was changed by removing the part 100s of 3rd party apps will be available.

2. FitBit is owned by Google and they don't want 3rd party Apps on the Sense 2 because they want to sell the Pixel watch which does have 3rd party Apps.

To explain facts that are not public knowledge by the mods here will never happen as they are not authorized to do so since this is a help forum not development one. You have two choices stay with the Sense 2 and use it ONLY as a fitness tracker OR return it and get another vendors model as the FitBit brand is almost dead and the o(Fit)bituary is being written here as we speak.

Thanks for the answer, really bad service. Going with another company that
can insure service on the long run.

Thanks for the answer which is easy to guess... but I think it is Fitbit's responsibility to answer directly to its customers to defend and assume its choices.
