Hello all
my fitbit sense 2 went dead shortly after a recharge - my last reading the battery was a 90%. It seems the side touch button is not working at all - so I cannot do a restart or reset. I have tried cleaning the unit multiple times, recharging multiple times - nothing - totally dead. once or twice I did feel a vibration but still dead and not synching to phone. From everything I have read the unit it dead - like some sort of catastrophic failure - but reaching out in case someone has something creative to try. Since this is my second fitbit to die soon after the warranty has expired I have bought myself a Garmin but would still like to know if I can revive my fitbit. To be clear, I have cleaned thoroughly several times, I have charged several times with 2 different chargers - nothing - tried pushing button both while on charger and while not - nothing...

Hi @Skirabbit - depending on how the Sense 2 was used and if the need to charge was normal or sudden defines if there is a fault.
However it may just not be charging so see here. How to check charge cable - Sense 2/Versa 4 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
If by chance it gets hot when charging stop immediately, it has a fault.

Tried two different chargers. Fitbit doesn't get hot.

@Skirabbit- did you fully follow the advice in the link previously sent? If the watch failed to charge it's normal the button won't work.

hi Guy, yes I had done all of the things in the advice several times, cleaned the unit several times, checked the pins, cleaned them (I have had a pin failure before), tried two different chargers and several cables. The strange thing is that is was working fine - I often charge the fitbit when I go and shower - came back it was fully charged - and somehow during the night it just died. First attempts to recharge did yield a small vibration once or twice as I tried to reset. I had had a problem a week or so before where the side button stopped working but a complete reset seemed to have fixed it.

@Skirabbit - thanks for the clarification but those erratic symptoms seems to indicate a watch failure, possibly from moisture accumulating inside causing rapid drain.
To confirm that fault check for condensation in the back watch sensor windows with a magnifying glass.
It may get hot on the charger and if so stop immediately, as the rapid drain energy has to go somewhere.
