Sense 2 starting over on steps

I have had my sense 2 for 2 days and have had nothing but problems.  It counts my steps (inaccuratgely) and this morning I had over 4,y700 steps and then it got all erased and it started over at 0.  very frustrating as I have to start all over.  I have an inexpensive fitpro watch from amazon and it works like a champ ($40)  bought this one as I heard Fitbit was a great product.  Please tell me what I am doing wrong.  So far I am hating Fitbit Sense 2.

Thank you for sharing what is happening with your Sense 2. I'm sorry to hear that it is not saving your information

In this case, I will recommend you to confirm the following steps:

  • Make sure your Sense 2 is currently set up and syncing with your Fitbit app.
  • Disconnect the Phone (if you notice the Phone option under the devices connected to your account), please try disconnecting the mobile track (phone) from the Fitbit app. Sometimes the phone's own sensors can "interfere" with your Fitbit's data.  
    • From the Today tab  in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap Devices 
    • Under devices, tap the phone tile > System
    • Tap disconnect device
    • Disconnect the Phone, if you notice the Phone option under the devices option, please try disconnecting the mobile track (phone) from the Fitbit app. Sometimes the phone's own sensors can "interfere" with your Fitbit's data.
    • Confirm that you want to disconnect phone.
