Here are the comparative dimensions for both watches taken from the Fitbit sites
Sense Dimensions
EU 40.48mm l x 40.48mm w x 12.35mm h
US 1.59in l x 1.59in w x 0.49in
Sense 2 Dimensions
EU 40.5mm l x 40.5mm w x 12.3mm h
US 1.5" l x 1.5" w x 0.45" h
There is obviously an error in the height of the Sense 2, because 12.3 mm isn't 0.45".
Anyone know if it is 0.48", or 11.43 mm?
It could explain why stuff was removed, due to lack of space!!

Did the shrink in size change the screen resolution? Has anyone seen any official announcement that it is still 336 x 336, as on the Sense?
Although there are press reports about the operating system used, has anyone seen any official announcement.

Looking at the differences they seem to be insignificant for the display resolution and probably are a result of changing shape here and there. I would expect Sense 2 be at least at some level backward compatible so developers don't have to port everything to the new model. Unfortunately, getting any information out of Fitbit is nearly impossible so nothing else to do but wait.
