Anyone else having issues syncing their device? One again I’m having issues this morning…. There seems to be an issue every other day these days! I’ve had various Fitbit’s for the last 5 years with no issues but this year, there is always something.

Hi there, @Raverbaby84. Thanks for stopping by in the forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Sense 2 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

In addition to the steps recommended by @Guy_, I'd suggest the following:

  • Unpair your Sense 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Sense 2.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.
  • Once your Sense 2 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Sense 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hi @Raverbaby84 - there were a couple of problems recently, try logout of the Fitbit App and restart the watch and phone, this may improve syncing. Other things to check Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hi I have the same problem I have tried all the above as advised by the help chat. Still keeps losing signal so I’m not getting alerts or messages.

again went back to the help chat I have now been told they advise to sync my watch 5 times aday.  Is this correct

Best Answer

I have tried as well.  I am sorry I ever purchased the Sense 2.

Turn off your Bluetooth, then power off your phone. Put it on charge and (if you have to) boot the phone up. Try syncing 2-3 times and completely close the app. It should sync on its own.

I must tell you that your answer is nice but as a user I'm tired of going thru everything every other day and sometimes more than once a day to sync the fitbit.  Good thing my blue tooth works on all the other devices.  This does not solve anyones problem with needing to jump through hoops to get my watch to sync.

Hi totoman, I agree with you.  No matter what I try I still have to manually sync.  My problem is I have a medical condition and to check my heart beat is mot racing I check on Fitbit.  My previous item a Charge 2:was fantastic.  I had for almost five years and didn't close me an arm and a leg.  Sense 2:was as expansive as Apple Watch and is useless.

any other ideas please.  Anyone like to buy a Sense 2!,,,,,,,?  Only four months old.

Absolutely shame on Fitbit as a company for not resolving this issue or even acknowledging it. These watches don’t work and they weren’t cheap. People are using them to monitor health issues and it it important that they function as intended. Fitbit knows this problem with syncing is a chronic issue and is doing absolutely nothing to fix it other than a canned response that could cause users to lose significant portions of their health data. I will never buy another Fitbit product as long as I live. They have left their users in the total dark about this, and do not care about bringing resolution nor accountability to this issue. I feel sorry for you that you have to moderate for such a poorly run company on this message board. Best of luck with that!

Totally agree. I phoned the help line. The same ole same ole. Nothing new to sort the problem. Whom wants to got to settings etc each time you need to check heart rate and see graph. Useless.

Hi @SunsetRunner - do you use an iPad and iPhone with your Sense 2?

If you have the Fitbit App on both it could cause a problem.

If not what steps have you tried so that your watch syncs normally?

Did you also make sure that battery savings is not refusing the Fitbit App and associated services to run in background?

don’t know why you keep putting these instructions up they don’t work!

my husband had a versa and it was recalled back don’t know how this they keeps going it’s only from old reliability with all the new tech they definitely are falling behind never would I buy a Fitbit product again beware.

Please , have tried everything and all ok. Requires manual testing.
If it was not so expensive I would have cut me losses and out in a drawer somewhere...

@Clare2806 , @SunsetRunner - if you tried everything, though the solutions should work, and has worked for others see this post, and it's still not working, the watch may be faulty, and you can get the watch replaced under warranty.

Can you chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support to make sure, they may take you through a factory reset first which may resolve it if not already done.

Hello MarreFitbit

I been experiencing issues with Synching my Sense 2 for the last two weeks, it seems that any of instructions you guys provide does not work. Sometimes it can take hours for my fitbit to finally show any of my daily progress. I bought the watch less than 6 months ago and is just not efficient as my previous watches. this device would not show my readiness score, my hours of sleep, or the progress of my heart beat through out my workouts. Can someone do something about this issues please.

Almost $300 for something that does not work properly is very upsetting and frustrating.

Thank you.

SATO0407:

You are experiencing some of the same issues many of us have complained about without receiving any solutions. Sometimes, I can get it to register steps, hours of sleep, etc. by pressing and holding the watch on the sides until I see the diamond dots on it.   May times this works but I often have to do this many times during the day for it to sync my info.

Keep everyone on this thread posted if you receive a solution.

I have solved my issue with Sense 2. I have cut my losses and purchased an Apple Watch.

As a last note. I was extremely happy with my Charge 2. I must have had it for about 5 years before it gave up the ghost.

There has to be a problem with Sense 2. No matter how many instructions one follows the syncing problem remains the next time.

Good luck all.
