SpO2 broken by firmware update!

This is insane! Latest firmware update somehow has broken Spo2 completely.

I actually have an immediate need for this. Currently forced to continually use a pulse oximeter on my fingertip while my expensive Fitbit does nothing.

Why is nothing being communicated? Why is nothing being restored?

Fitbit needs to replace these devices ASAP if they're not going to correct the problem.

Well, 2 weeks has now passed TWO MONTHS! Still no explanation, much less resolution.

Clearly Fitbit is simply ignoring this issue.

My guess is they're probably shutting down Fitbit branded devices and thus spending no support dollars?

I'm ashamed to admit this is the second time I been scammed by Fitbit.

I bought the Ionic, which ended in an out of warranty recall. I was foolish enough to rely on Fitbit's previous history (pre-google) and wham, I'm right back in another failed product, only this time it isn't the hardware, it deliberate software updates that have apparently permanently damaged the Spo2 function.

the interesting thing about this whole update issue is that no one is taking any responsibility. The moderators (I am assuming) were told to say nothing. Google is doing nothing except pushing out unknown updates. The Versa 4 I had the update problem with eventually fixed itself with one of the updates. I did use an android tablet with the Fitbit app on it (no phone capability - just bluetooth and a internet WiFi connection). I was able to finally link to it and do an upgrade. It is working now and sitting on my desk with a charger connection. I did end up buying a new Versa 4 (of course before an update allowed the old one to work again). When a new update came on the new Versa 4, I was pretty anxious about doing the upgrade, but Google did not make it optional. The upgrade did work at least. I figured I had a new Versa 4 so they would have to support it if it was screwed up again. I would suggest using a different tablet or phone that has never had the Fitbit app on it (when you uninstall, not everything is taken off). Good luck!
