When will Sense 2 be updated?

IMHO, Sense 2 is the top fitbit release recently that lacks most features and requires improvements. There are so many feature requests on this forum. 

My question is who can guess when will the first significant Sense 2 update coming? 2022 or 2023? Will it ever come?

Nobody knows the answer to this. Perhaps you were hoping LizzyFitbit would respond, but she will not give you a set date either (my guess).

@asiayeah Just my opinion and a joking guess, you will get an update and more features will be removed, and I am sure you will not see the Google apps sometime in the far future, maybe 2025? Of course I have no real ideas just from the trend, the next release will most likely be so big, updating over Bluetooth will time out and most likely a lot of devices will become bricks.

Again just from reading these forums on past updates over Bluetooth..

Maybe they will enable the WiFi for their updates?

Firmware Update OS 5.1. for Sense was lunch on November19th 2020!

Dose enyone have some unofficial info?

Why is when the Sense 1 received a firmware update relevant to the Sense 2? The Sense 2 just shipped less than 5 weeks ago. I assume the Google Maps and Google Wallet integration will require a firmware update but they are still just "coming soon".

First I have had older versa and have purchased several fitbit devices for friends and family prior to the google purchase. 

I have to say that I'm disappointed with the release of the sense 2.  With the missing features that exist on the cheapest devices such as the control of audio playing on my phone and third party apps.  Also, the lack of enhancements such as the ones mentioned above (Google maps and pay).  With all the shortcomings of the device it makes it even worse when fitbit refuses to even promis a release date for the added features.  Let's say a date is to much heck announces a quarter and year(ie 3rd quarter  2023) at least your current yousers have something to look for.   Not to mention the pay wall for the few features added that you provided 6 months of use at no cost but currently we may not get to 6 months with the device.  At one time I viewed fitbit as an up and coming device maker and inovator and now I'm not sure.  I understand wanting to relese a device prior to the holidays but in my opinion this device was released partially complete with no expected date of completion.

Whatever normaly Fitbit rarly publish change log.

But Sense 1 had several updates in the 2020, and few more ip to 5.3 today.

I only need spotify co troler and answer and have an conversation.

Also would be great if we can change watch faces from the divice direccrly as it on Sense 1.

I dont need third party apps as Spotify was developed by Fitbit.

LizzyFit, that's not an answer. I do realize that you're on you own, and not armed with any real info by a company trying to pull a fast one on long time customers.

If I recall correctly it takes 2 to 3 months for Fitbit to roll out any kind of update. Even then, we all need to realize, they only fix a limited number of acknowledged bugs and problems. As I haven't seen what bugs they admit to, I can't begin to guess what they might fix first.

I still don't get your argument. The Sense 2 shipped less than 5 weeks ago. Based on your Sense dates the first firmware update didn't occur until almost 8 weeks after pre-order deliveries started.

Well I don't expect the update before Novemeber 18th, as it was announced one day before Sense

Now Google own it maybe there will be no frequent updates or none at all, or it will impruve dramatically.

In case of worst possible scenario so I will swich back to sense:

Worse battery, flores count need to be divided with10 for aprox real number.

For now is the most advanced firbit divice regarding features.

Sense 2, unsense for now.

The time will tell
