Zone minutes not matching to HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My sense 2 is a few months old and has just stopped accurately recording active zone minutes, as if it can no longer add up. The same exercise, with the same heart rate profile is now translating into minimal active zone minutes. Have tried rebooting Fitbit but no difference. See screenshot of app for example. Advice please!

@Blusterpuss i think, the problem is your HR. Do you see perfectly straight horizontal lines in your HR reading? This is because Sense 2 couldn't read your heart rate (and chart just shows last know HR hence straight line). I believe "below zones" are all the minutes HR wasn't being read.

It's good to see you around @Triletics

Good to see you in the community for the first time @Blusterpuss.

In order to get heart rate accurate, I recommend that you try restarting the device following the steps suggested in this article.

In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

Thanks for the advice @ManuFitbit  -and @Triletics. Looking back at my heart rate it does seem flatter on the runs than previously and continues to capture accurately for spin classes where my upper body is more static. I think I must be wearing it too loosely so will see if that makes a difference.

It’s an odd feature - it’s unlikely my heart rate would be decreasing below zone and increasing again with such frequency, which it implies with this response.

@Blusterpuss it's not decreasing, it's just not being detected 🤷 Not detecting HR is like 0bpm so it will fall below zones. Yet, the chart draws last valid HR if the watch couldn't detect it. I have seen that before. You may try to fix watch positioning. Whether it's gonna help, I don't know. Good luck!
