Hi @russmac50  - it would seem your watch possibly developed a fault for it to stop measuring HR. This can often be due to internal damage from moisture accumulating inside.

Even if you succeeded in doing a factory reset, it may not be working right still.

Try removing the Bluetooth entries for the watch from the phone then Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

Restart the watch by holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

Login and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync.

If this doesn't work remove the watch from the Fitbit App and do "+ Set up a device" and replace to add it.

If this also fails the watch may need replacing under warranty, 1 to 2 years depending country law.

Thanks for that but didn't work did factory reset second a time removed
everything from phone linking watch.
Download information for watch everything linked know working as well as
before will see if it keeps working fingers crossed.
Watch warranty just out side of 2 years.

--------

Update after factory reset everything was work but by the next morning HR had stopped recording but everything else still working just disappointed the sense has only lasted just over 2 years.

@russmac50 - did you by any chance reinstall the clock face you were using before after the factory reset, if so try changing to another clock face.

You can also verify if the HR is actually working by swiping the clock face to the left and selecting the Today app.

Did what you said and tried new clock face HR stuck on 49bpm changed back to old clock face no HR showing but on phone app showing 49bpm. looks like HR is stuck and not working on 49bpm. just using watch as step counter and time what a waste. not sure i can trust other tools on the sense at the moment.

Like I've said in other post disappointed that fault came just outside warranty.
