When I try to change clock faces my Sense locks up and won’t let me swipe to other screens and actually gets stuck in between screens. The only fix is to reboot the entire device by removing it from my app, reconnecting and then adding it back from scratch like a new device. So frustrating. I’ve had my Sense for two weeks after upgrading from my old Fitbit. I even tried an Apple Watch but hated the charging needs those have.
Now I’m thinking I should try another brand like Garmin. Any suggestions for how I can resolve this issue on my Sense? I really wanted to love this!

It is unusual for that to happen. Normally clocks load ok, or at worst have a problem loading but don't lock up the device.
If after restarting the device it is still locked with the loaded clock face try another clock face in case the one you chose has an issue.
Also check the watch is syncing well
In the phone Fitbit App Click on profile photo [top left] Device photo [middle left] Sync - See when last synced Try refresh by touching circle it should say "a moment ago" |
There are simpler solutions to remedy the problem, such as clearing the Fitbit App cache and force stopping it. or even logout of the App.
Remedies such as.
In Android phone Settings * Apps Fitbit Storage - clear cache [not data] Force Fitbit shutdown [though it doesn't seem to fully] Log back in to the Fitbit app
*Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones] |
Or for IOS uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit App, and redo notification setup. |
Followed by a restart of the phone also. It should work unless there is a serious problem with your watch.
In which case probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

Thanks very much for the detailed reply! I did each of those things the first time it acted up after swapping clock faces and it worked. The second time it did it was last night and I was too tired to deal with it so just left it (had to leave face down on nightstand because the light wouldn’t even go out on the face). When I work this morning it was totally fine though. Weird.
