Hello @BROGGO and welcome to the Community. The first Fitbits were just pedometers, measuring steps and calculating distance. The daily step and lifetime distance badges have always been based on one foot in front of the other on the ground activity since day one. When Fitbit added cycling, it made a decision that cycling distance won't get added to daily distance. The same is true for swimming and Outdoor Workout, a shortcut designed for things like kayaking, stand up paddle board, and downhill skiing.
Fitbit has grown from being a pedometer to an advanced fitness tracker. I agree with you that Fitbit should make it easier to keep records for things like cycling.

Hello @BROGGO
You can log the distance of your cycling if you want to keep an account of your cycling endeavors. Hers how:
Tap Dashboard at the top of your screen then tap log also at the top of your screen. Tap activities then scroll down to log activities (see image below) Tap the cycling icon, enter your details then tap log. Hopefully you find this useful. 😃

Is there any chance this might come in an update to the app?

Does this mean it will show up on the homepage of the app

Hello again @BROGGO
Indeed it does show up on the Fitbit App. I just did it myself (using fake information because I prefer treadmill 🤣) But now showing on my Fitbit App as a recorded cycling event. I do hope that this does indeed answer your question and provide you with a solution. 😃 Please let me know.

@BROGGO I'm sorry, but @SunsetRunner's suggestion won't help you. Her suggestion took a step based activity and changed the name of the exercise to bike. If you log a bike ride and add your distance in the distance field, your total distance doesn't change.
Manual logging this way is for older devices that don't have an Exercise app or if you forget to wear your Fitbit. You were wearing your Sense, so you have a record of your ride.

@LZeeW It does show the distance of the exercise but it fails to show up on the main home screen dashboard it still says like 5km.it seems to only count walking. It ignores the 35km bike ride I've done. Is there a way to correct this.

@BROGGO I'm sorry, but there isn't a way to put your bike distance on your main dashboard. I can see from your profile that you are a very new Fitbit user. I don't have experience with any other tracker brands, but a different brand might make it easier to track your cycling, as this seems very important to you.
