Good Day
AM I the only one who constantly have ils Fitbit watches to defect prematuraly ?
Previously, I had an Ionic. It stopped working. I filled up à form to get partial compensation. But, I never received any reply. I got myself a Sense in August 2021. It totally stopped working Again. Didn't last 2 years. . Obviously, this was my very last Fitbit Google product.

Hi @BenLe - you don't say the failure of the Sense but if it won't turn it could be something simple, see How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
Your post is moved to the sense forum for better sharing.

Thanks @BenLe - unfortunately you are probably right, the moment it gets hot while charging it has suffered internal damage, probably from water ingression, and if it behaves oddly after that it is a sure sign of irreversible damage.
The seals aren't very robust on some watches so all sorts of things can and do happen.

Natural elements such as a gust of wind or weather change can effect the measurements. Even something as simple as opening a door can sometimes cause your Fitbit to register extra floors! Mowing the lawn can be a cause of an elevated count as can many other activities

Misery loves company… I bought my Sense January 2021 and it stopped working April 2023 for no apparent reason. Mine had the black screen and pressing the side button would cause it to vibrate as well. I also got the Fitbit logo to come on. I find it interesting that it broke just a little over two years past the warranty period. I let it be bc I was upset. Decided to charge it again and it has decided to semi-work now. Touch screen doesn’t work and battery only holds charge for 1.5 days. At times, I get the black screen again with the Fitbit logo. Waiting for it to permanently give up its ghost and move on. Curious to find out if this is going to be a case of Fitbit deliberately having their products break… For the time being, c’est la vie

I do not have all the dates handy but thought I would add my voice. My story with my sense last year and my current charge 5 is identical to original post. I am 100% convinced the device should never be used near water, despite the advertising. Both watch failed after swimming for me. So if swimming is part of your fitness routine I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

My ionic was recalled. Bought a sense.Quit working 20 days out of the one year warranty. CONTACTED fitbit and the only help was an offer of 35 % off a new watch. DECIDED to order a new charger from Amazon for $8.
it took care of the problem no thanks to fitbit. If this watch dies...won't be buying anything again from fitbit.

My sense wouldn't charge or turn on. I ordered a new charger cable from Amazon for $8. ITS WORKING FINE.
Fitbit offered 35% off a new watch. They were no help with repair / replacement.
Won't buy another one. Watch was just days over the 1 year warranty.

For me in both cases I was not so lucky. I have other fitbit users in the household and was able to eliminate the charge cable as a possible cause.
