Hi, does any one know why the ECG is not available in Puerto Rico? PR is a us territory and the government body for health related devices is the FDA.

Hi Larry. Thank you! Puerto Rico is a US territory and the government body for health related devices is the FDA, which I understand the FDA already granted approval to Fitbit users to use the ECG feature in the USA. If Fitbit is expecting to get approval from the government of Puerto Rico we will never get access to use the ECG since Puerto Rico does not have a governmental body for such maters, again the FDA is the government body that regulates medical devices in the US territory of Puerto Rico. In the Apple Watch the ECG function is available for use in PR. Woops have all their functions available in PR. The only company that I know that has restrictions in Puerto Rico is Fitbit? In my experience such issues happen when you have Puerto Rico which is a US territory reporting to the Latin America Division of the company instead of reporting to the USA. Hopefully this issue can be resolve and we the US residents in Puerto Rico can get access to all the services provided by Fitbit.

Hi @Juanearmstrong. Welcome to the Community Forums. @USAF-Larry, it's great to see you around and thanks for your great help.
@Juanearmstrong, thanks for sharing detailed information about this situation. I understand your point of view and how much you'd like to use the ECG app on your Sense. As @USAF-Larry mentioned, Fitbit continues working to have this and other features available in other countries. I'd recommend to check the link shared by our friend above and keep an eye to the Help Forums and our Press Release for future updates about this or any other feature availability
See you around.

Hi Lizzy, thank you! I understand that Fitbit continues working to have this and other features available in other countries, which is great. Now, Puerto Rico is part of the USA it is not another country. Hopefully this can be resolve quickly since the FDA already granted approval of the ECG in the USA which Puerto Rico is a part of. Hopefully you can escalate this bug so it can be fix ASAP. Appreciate your help!

Hi @Juanearmstrong. You're welcome, it's nice to see you again.
I understand that Puerto Rico is part of the USA and our team will continue working to have more apps and features available in other regions and countries. Your feedback is truly appreciated and will help our team to evaluate and improve our services, so be sure it won't be taken for granted.
Have a good day.
