Yeah it will be interesting to see because Garmin and Apple both utilize LED technology for the HR sensor so I can't imagine the results will be too different. I guess it comes down to the post processing software rather than the actual sensor.
Best AnswerI went swimming with my Versa 2 for the first time yesterday and what I discovered was that it will indeed track your heart rate underwater, as long as you let it auto track your workout. If you select swim under exercise, it will not track your heart rate. I had the watch on pretty tight, too, so that might affect its ability to get your heart rate data as well.
